Taylor will go top 5 to top 10. William Moore will go top 10 to top 20.

Guys we can realistically look at are:

Louis Delmas Western Michigan
Derek Pegues Mississippi State
Rashad Johnson Alabama
Patrick Chung Oregon
Emanuel Cook South Carolina
Michael Hamlin Clemson

The injury was the best thing to happen to Roy. It gives him plenty of time to rest any of the alleged injuries people claim he had, such as a bum shoulder. When he comes back, he can come back full-force.

I really like Patrick Chung in the second.

I for one is done with Roy W, he just isn't the safety he was his rookie season.

Nor is he the safety that he could have been had he worked harder and done the little things -- you know, like attended OTAs instead of going on a family cruise.

All that aside. Roy remains one of say the 10 best guys in the league at his position - we need to at least give him a shot next year

You know what USC, can produce some good defensive players that can play at the next level.

Lofa Taputu, Troy Polamalu, ect....I don't know much about Taylor Mays, shed some light for me.

6'3" 220ish..runs a 4.28 40. Hits like a truck.

He's gonna be a freak in the NFL.

don't want to knock the guy, but he's all straight-line

he's not going to hold up in coverage in the NFL

Anthony Henry and Hamlin will be the starting safeties... I think Dallas will draft someone to groom probably in the 3rd or 4th round.

:write: Note to self, put Bob Sacamano on the list of people to ridicule later when Taylor Mays becomes a superstar.

If they are going to replace Roy, I think they need to get an absolute ballhawk. Who that is, I don't know but that is what is needed.

Scoot Hamlin over.

I think we've had our share of Alabama busts at safety with Tony Dixon.

done. Gotta be easy to make predictions when you don't care if they are right or wrong.

I predict the Cowboys will win every game from now on. If they don't, oh well. Is that you Tony Romo?

George Teague worked out okay.

Dixon was a bust from day one. He goes in the Quincy Carter, Dwayne Goodrich, and Jacob Rogers Collection of Horrible 2nd Round Picks.

I care, to a point

but I know that anything anyone says has a 50/50 chance of happening, esp. in regards to predicting a player's prospects in the NFL, so if I'm right, it doesn't mean that I'm nastrodamus

and btw, I don't think Mays is going to bust, just he's not going to be great in coverage, and won't be able to recover if he makes a wrong read

I hear you. I think he suffered from big-hit-itis sometimes at USC. There was a few plays that he was so anxious to knock the garbage out of someone that he let a CB go 1-on-1 with the deepest receiver. The thing is, Pete Carroll recognized it, corrected it, and Mays adjusted.

I don't normally like to do this being a Bruin and all but, Taylor Mays is the real deal. Glad he is not coming back to $C.

Pretty good list. I'm pretty familiar with Cook and Hamlin. I've seen them play and followed their careers esp Cook. Either could be solid or better players. Hamlin has boom or bust all over him. Cook is really a CB but I like the idea of his playing FS. He's a very very good player but he's not a big guy even though he hits hard. He may be a little injury prone. I like the Chung kid.
