No team is going to trade a first or second round pick for any player. Parsons might garner a 3rd. The Cowboys would have to give a team a third just to take Martin. The Cowboys will not trade any player in the next 48 hours. No team will even call an inquire about any Cowboys player.
parsons mabye garnering a 3rd is lunacy lol. k

For what?

The Cowboys have drafted more All Pros and Pro Bowlers than any other team these past five seasons.

What difference did that make?

The problem isn't player personnel. The very center of this team's culture is sick.

Until the very top of this franchise's management undergoes a complete change in philosophy, the results will remain the same.
i do agree with the culture and head of the snake, but drafting more all pro's doesn't really matter when you don't supplement them with talent whatsoever.

I wonder if you let the players decide would we have to field the practice squad next week?, they have to be discussed with Jerry, the FO, coaches and Dak.

I think Trevon or Micah are great candidates for trade. Especially TREVON. If we can get out from under that bad contract and find a team that will eat part of it, do it.
What team would give up valuable draft capital for a player whose play isn’t worth what he’s being paid? What team would give up valuable draft capital for an injured player who’ll be looking for a massive contract extension in nine weeks? 1’s and 2’s do not get traded, anymore. Not by the Cowboys or any other NFL team.

Well i think your premise is wrong.

The way you sound you think a team is better the more Pro Bowl players it has. But that to me is not the case.

That has been the case in the pre salary cap are. But in todays NFL your team needs to be sound in every position. You cant have pro bowlers at every position, just because of the cap. So you need a lot of good players. Not some great ones and the rest are just JAgs.

I think the winning teams without a lot of pro bowlers show you that.

Of course we also have a bad culture. You are right with that and i didnt want to question this.
Our FO owner/GM is just bad and he is the reason our culture is what it is.

I do think also that Will McClay is overrated. We are not a good drafting team. We find good OL but we have to draft them way too high. Our talent evaluation is bad.
Of course another reason is an cluless owner who overrules talent evaluation constantly.
I agree that the team is not structured in a way that makes the team competitive at the highest level.

Too much value is placed on individual players leading to them being overpaid or overvalued. Too much of the salary cap is going to too few individuals.

This means that the rest of the team must be composed of low wage rookies and free agents, both rookies and veterans. This, in turn, results in a huge drop off in talent any time there is an injury to a valuable starter. This is what we are experiencing now and exactly what we have experienced in the past.

I would rather have a good starter with a capable backup than a "star" player backed up by practice squad level talent.
