I don't know what to think of Jones.

Sometimes he looks like a Pro Bowler. Sometimes he looks totally lost. Strange.

Most times he looks totally lost. True story. I met him while he was walking into the stadium before the Indy game recently and told him not to let the tight end sneak up behind him. If looks could kill, I'd be dead. Lol.

The dude has no confidence at all and seems like more of a gym rat than a football player. Landon Collins resembles a true safety.

It was Carr's fault on that coverage he vacated his zone.

I wasn't referring to just that play. There are plenty of others. Opposing QBs look for 31 and throw his way because he has no ballhawking skills or awareness at all.

Let Darren Woodson explain it to you then

Q: Should Byron Jones move to corner?

DW: "No. To me, he's the MVP of the defense. I know Sean Lee gets a lot of credit, but you're asking Byron Jones to play three different positions. He's playing the safety spot. When Orlando Scandrick goes down, he's coming in to the nickel. He's covering the slot receiver. Sometimes he's coming in to play corner. He covers the tight end on matchups. He does everything for that team. I can't tell you how hard that is. I know personally how hard that is, because I played the safety position, corner, slot, the linebacker as well. It's a hard transition to go from one hat to the next in the same game. You really have to be mentally checked in. Byron Jones is in his second year, and you're asking him to do a lot. To me he's the MVP of that defense.

"Great kid, wants to be better, asks a lot of questions about how he can get better. Tremendous athlete. I tell him, at some point you have to put some weight on. He's just one of the great athletes in the NFL, and he doesn't get a lot of credit for what he can do.

"The offenses spread you out, your safety has to cover. Look at the Super Bowl champs. What do they do? They get you in open spread situations, and if you can't cover, they're gonna find your weakest link."

I trust Woodson and his opinion. However, I've never seen Woodson look as lost as Byron Jones. Regardless of the position he was playing.

I could care less about Moore
Rush needs to start and play most of the game to get game experience

Yes things are more important, but also life must go on.
Life goes on with or without that fifth game being played. These players have real lives outside of football and the reality of the situation is they need to forget about this game and take care of real world stuff. Just as 911 put the NFL on pause for a week, the league needs to be more supportive of these players and understand one preseason game should not be the priority right now. The whole country should pause to take notice of this tragedy in south Texas and help out. Come together for the sake of unity and stop being so divided yet some are oblivious and just carry on their own selfish agendas.
