Possible a 2025 5th + 6th and 7th this year gets us a late 4th, but probably would have to give up a 2025 4th and this years 6th to get back into the 4th
One can see them doing just that to aquire a RB.
As the 4th round proceeds along, the Cowboys could monitor the best available prospects to see whose been picked, then do a deal for one that still remains on the board.

Jaylen Wright, Ray Davis, Braelon Allen...those three probably are gone halfway through the round.

Isaac Guerendo, Bucky Irving, Audric Estime,...Dallas makes the trade to move up into the lower half of the 4th to select one of those three players if they drop down that far.

LoL, you're just like that grumpy old grandpa sitting on a rocking chair with a blanket on his knees snarking useless one liners from that last corner of the room which make everyone in hearing range smile for a second and then go about their lives and back to ignoring the old fool.

Had your mashed potatoes yet?
Your real tough....probably drunk posting in the middle of the night...

Raiders did not get a QB. Trade Trance and a 2025 5th for pick 112.

Make it happen Jerruh!!!! Eat half his salary if you have to.

Give the kid at least a chance to play this year.

At this point I wouldn't trade any of next year's draft capital...if the rebuild goes as many of us think it will, we're goinf to need every single pick next year...
The Cowboys are looking at 7-8 day three picks next year. No reason to have that many.

Well comp picks are at the end of each round and if you trade them this year, they lose a round in value. So basically a 5th round comp pick would be worth a late 7th this year. Not a lot of leverage to move up.

That’s fair but to get a 4th next year it’s going to take a lot more than a cobbling of late round picks next year. Additionally if we have a rough season this year, which is certainly a possibility, we would likely have a top half pick in each round

I guess the question is, and I have zero clue, is there any player in the 4th that would really make this team better and would be worth sending a few mid / late round picks next year to acquire?

Jaylen Wright would replace Pollard seamlessly.

Raiders did get a QB...6 weeks ago when they signed FA Gardner Minshew.
He wiil compete with last season's starter Aidan O'Connell, who was Las Vegas' 4th round pick /no. 135 overall in the 2023 draft.

Lance's best opportunity to play in 2024 is with Dallas.
The owner\GM will see to it that the QB will get ample quality reps in training camp + a lot of preseason action. If it results in Lance beating out Rush to be the backup QB, then there will be chances for him to play in the upcoming regular season - for the first time in two years.

All the more reason for Lance to remain where he is - instead of going to to a third different team in less than a year.

The more likely scenario is we trade a 5th round pick in 2024 and a 4th round pick in 2025 (we have 3 fifth round comps).

However, the question I'd ask is *who* is worth trading up for

If we gave up a 3rd, someone maybe willing to take Trance and his $5M golden clipboard.

Sad thing is it sounds like they could have gotten a 4th (135) from the 49ers last night by trading from 87 to 94 and they still could have drafted the ND LB that no one was going to draft in the next 50 picks.

See who is on the board at 135 today who would have helped and see how you feel about it.
