None of the other top teams in the NFL took the day off. Why are we giving Dallas a pass?
Some of the teams played almost no starters. Look at the Giants and Minnesota. I give zero props to Dallas, they played their top guys and played like crap.

I'm sorry did you not watch the game? Zeke nor Pollard were able to do anything, OL was getting beat and running backs had no room to run. Yeah lets run more regardless if there is room or not. jack del rio had his guys shooting games and bring up defenders to shut the run game down.

The Giants were not playing to win so the East was never really in doubt . The bigger question to me is why are 4 , 11 and 27 still getting banged around in the 4th quarter of a hopeless meaningless game . I have zero problems resting Pollard . Malik Davis and Cooper Rush should have played in the 2nd quarter.
Dallas had to not only win but have BOTH the 49ers and Eagles lose. With Deebo back, near zero chance SF would lose.

The only point to playing the reguulars was to get them a bit of work so they wouldn't be off two weeks between games. After the first quarter it should have been backup time across the board.

But you know, while I'm not a conspiracy theorist, this game bothered me in one regard - Washington's play on defense. Just about every pass the receiver, be it was Lamb, Schultz, Brown, or whoever the defender was on the Dallas player like, as we say down South here, wihite on rice. On running plays the lbs and such immediately, as soon as the ball was snapped, ran right to the exact spot of the run. It looked like Washington knew every call.

Now was Dallas running a bunch of plays that they had run all year and Wash had seen them on film? Could be I guess, but if Dallas couldn't cover the Washington receivers, zero chance they can cover the Tampa receivers. When complaining about Dak's low completion rate, just look at how many of his passes had the ball knocked away from the receiver. Little, if any, separation by the receivers. Don't care who the qb is, you're not going to complete passes if the defender is breathing down the neck of your receiver. Can't run the ball if the defense is in your backfield as soon as the ball is snapped.

Dallas' only hope to beat Tampa is if they played soft against Washington and didn't try very hard to win.

We'll certainly find out next week...

I'm not happy with the coaching approach to this game. They obviously were trying to protect certain players like Tony Pollard and TY Hilton by putting them on a pitch count. So why not do that with Dak and CeeDee as well? We did finally see Cooper Rush inserted into the game but by then it was far too late.

It was a halfhearted approach to a game that could have bettered our position in the playoffs. It seems they had assigned scoreboard watchers of the game in Philly so that they could gauge how much of an effort they would put forth against the Commanders. The Eagles put forth the effort to take care of their own business, earning the division championship and the 1 seed in the NFC playoffs. If we can manage to take care of our own business in Tampa, we'll most likely see Philly in the divisional round.

They were geared up to stop the run. And they did. Dak had another one of those days where he couldn’t hit the side of a barn.

The game-plan and execution looked like a carbon-copy of the 49ers game from last season. Tons of penalties and mental lapses. Corn Flake Moore not utilizing Pollard and passing with no logic. Why the hell is Noah Brown getting more snaps than TY Hilton?
For the love of god use play-action on 1st & 2nd down when your WRs can’t create separation.

Far as Quinn goes he average with no help from STs or Offense He still needs to use Big Bo & Hankins in the middle to stop the inside runs and settle on CB #2. Need minimum of 3 sacks next week.

BENCH Noah Brown if the coaching staff has any accountability.

Because he sucked yesterday, and Zeke did not do much better.

Just playing devil's advocate here.. Pollard might not have been used more because they realized the line wasn't blocking and putting him out there with no blocking exposed him to injury. And T.Y. Hilton is a pulled hammie waiting to happen so you have to limit him as well.
