I'm talking about the ever growing era since we last won a Super Bowl.

What haven't we changed apart from the GM?
Well every team makes the same challenges Dallas does. I dont really understand the logic. This organization is far more stable than some others.

How many teams have had the same O Coord for 6 years?

It goes down like this, we are to blame, Jerry has figured out he doesnt need Cowboy fans, he needs football fans. We are to blame because we fuel this fool show.

You may be right there.

The last time Jerry followed a different pattern his team was on the rocks and he brought Parcells in.

If it impacts his wallet, then maybe he would consider a different way.

I'm not disagreeing with the idea that the front office and coaches have done a poor job here. What I'm saying is that the other NFC East teams have softened the blow of 8-8 seasons because the Cowboys have been in it until the last game each season. If the Eagles had been 12-4 this year, or the Commanders 12-4 last year, our 8-8 seasons would be harder to justify as "almost there" like Jerry and Garrett love to mention. We, as fans, expect a lot better than 8-8. I think even Jerry would too if the Cowboys were ending up 3-5 games out of first place.

Your right the lack of a real contender in the division or anyone that locks the division up in early Dec. gives the impression that we're still in it but I don't for a minute think that all the players and front office would be satisfied with a 1 and done team but nobody wants to pass that up if it's an option.

Pursuit of the lead horse does drive your strategy.
And the "lead horse" for Jones is not the best of the best.

Back in the 1990s, the Commanders were that. They had just won a Super Bowl and our goal initially was to knock them off. Then it was the 49ers.

He is too busy chasing the notion that just getting in that "anyone can win it if they get hot". That is a mentality based on hope and frankly a lot of breaks. Fits with his world view.

In most cases having the same OC for six years would be a good thing.

Most winning teams (especially ones that consistently compete) have continuity on both sides of the ball.

I'm saying that the problem is with the GM not with any one particular coach or player.

At some point when you've changed everything about a team (HC, OC, DC, Stadium, QB etc.) and the results haven't
satisfactorily changed, you have to look to see if there is another constant in all this

That would be the GM in our case.
