If we sign 5 Fa's and Sign 6 drafted rookies, that means we need to cut 11 previous players.

It's too early to speculate. Before the regular season begins, some players will get pushed onto the practice squad or placed on the IR, etc. Before that, any significant cuts will be generated by each player's negative impact on the team's salary cap--like Allen's.

There is a loooong way to go before we have to worry about cutting anyone.


Right now rosters can hold up to 84 men. Training camp is months away. Cuts are weeks after that...not somthing to worry about right now there are more important things on the table.

Quentin caver has no future here.
Willie pile will probably not have a spot when Captain Crunch Berry-o gets back.

suisham will just get released if we find another kicker.

Larry allen if the reporters are right may be a casualty or he may play right tackle who knows?

Eric Ogbogu will serve no purpose here if we draft a mark anderson or wimberly or lawson etc.

Michael barrow's spot is available. I dont think we need to cut anyone to make room I just think we will be heavy at offensive tackle and linebacker in training camp and someone will have to go at each position.

With the way things are going and how slow we are proceeding i think cutting someone is the last thing on anyones mind. I wish we had that problem right now!!!

Good examples you mentioned and also don't forget these players get hurt and get put on injured reserve.

Besides we've already let Glover & Campbell go, Dat has retired & Fujita is looking around. So there is 4 right away. Others on the bubble--Tucker, Pile, Shanle, etc. So there's 7 players leaving which matches 7 incoming rookie class. Worry about any FAs we sign, if we get more then the 1 we just signed.
