first thread I started here, but I am just wondering which of the cowboys you love.

I grew up watching irvin and emmitt and aikman so I don't have the memories some of you guys will have, but I can tell you I really love michael irvin, the guy isn't the classiest or the best of all time but I just like the snot out of the guy. always smiling and his catches were the things of legends. When I think cowboys honestly I think Emmitt but at the end of the day michael irvin makes me smile like no other cowboy has since.

so who do you love?

As a rule I don't love the players.

If you get caught up in hero worship it clouds your vision and leads to bad decisions.

Just ask Jerry about that.

In fact I kinda have disdain for ex-Cowboys.

Roger Staubach. AKA Roger the Dodger. AKA Captain America.
Spent some of his prime athletic years serving his country and still went down as one of the all time greats.
Opponents feared him since Dallas was never out of a game Roger QB'd until the clock read 00:00.
Commanders hated him so bad they spit on him and threatened over-the-line bodily injury.
Think Brett Favre with way better decision making skills. Favre even copied Staubach's version of the jump pass.
And you never saw Staubach yukking it up with his teammates on the sidelines when they were on the losing end of a score.
Dude cared about one stat; winning football games.

How young must someone be to consider Aikman, Smith, et. al. "old school"?
