I can see us going to get guys who are washed up like Zeke. Anyone else washed up but can be had cheap? This is the Cowboys new business model during FA. We over pay for our own talent and then during FA we look for diamonds in a field of trash.

One or two of our own, a RB with one foot in the football grave, and a big body to give you a few snaps.

When you wouldn’t pony-up 6.5mil for two years for Gus Edward’s or 8mil for 2 years for Zach Moss, you told us a lot.

Bargain basement hole fillers for next season. 2025 might be a different story. 2024 will be tough for fans expecting another playoff run.

What we SHOULD do?
-D’Onta Foreman(RB)
-1 of Jerome Baker/Oren Burks/Devin White/Tyrel Dodson(LB- position is almost picked clean already)
-Cody Whitehair(OC)
-1 of Derrick Nnadi/Sebastian Joseph-Day/Benito Jones/Teair Tart(DT- again, not a ton left)
+ resign 1 of Gilmore or Lewis

What will likely happen- AJ Dillon, Shaq Leonard, bring back Edoga, Hankins and Gilmore.

My question is how do we address the gaping holes at RB, LB, DT, DE, LT, and C with the players still available? If we aren't doing so through FA, we need to hit on every single draft pick, and get really lucky with UDFA's...or get really lucky through trades. Mind you, trading draft picks for vets doesnt help us long term. Quite the conundrum we've found ourselves in.
