Hagman - that is why I chose my CZ member name to be 'Motorola' --- it was a B&W TV brand model that I first viewed Cowboys games (and all other sports aired way back then).
And in reference to that NFL Championship game on New Year's Day 1967 - it was the season before the Ice Bowl - but it was the same calendar year --- 1967 --- our Cowboys lost two titles

mr motorola---love the back story why you are Motorola and i remember those TV's...i am just probably a handful at most years younger than you.....my first ever cowboys game was super bowl 5 Jan 1971

when there were i think 9 turnovers including we fumbled on 1 yd line instead of punching through for TD...we lost 16-13 on chip shot Obrien FG.....but it was the Star on the helmet and the away blue and Siliver

i was so totally hooked on Cowboys.....and i watched it on my own personal 12-inch black and white TV i had gotten that Christmas....only 12 year old on block who had personal TV....i shut the door let no one in

and watched on total roller coaster ride first time the Dallas Cowboys lose to Colts.....i cried.....but i said i love these Dallas Cowboys
