Who do you view as our Greatest Rival?

Just curious which team you all view as our Greatest Rival, and why. Do you feel respect for them? Or pure hatred?

Personally for me it's the Steelers. I'd imagine many people would have the same answer. Lots of history there. We've been in 3 Super Bowls with them, and it's 2-1 in their favor. They also now officially have the most Super Bowl wins of any team. They are 6-1 in Super Bowls vs our 5-3. They are really the only team I acknowledge as a *True* all time Rival.

As far as how I feel about them? I respect them greatly. They are imo one of the most all-time consistent teams in terms of attitude and playstyle. As much as I like to see them lose, I can't help but feel they always have a shot with their generally solid D and punch you in the nose offense.

I hope to see another Cowboys/Steelers Super Bowl one day. Preferably after Dallas wins its' 6th, and it be for the Tie Breaker ^_^

As far as my most Hated? 49ers are high on that list. It's sad as they are nothing now, but the fact that they blocked us from 4 in a row has always stuck with me. Ofcourse I hate everyone in the NFC East, specially the Eagles, but 49ers will probably always hold a "special" place in my heart.


Anyhow, just curious how other fans feel.

I would have to go with the Commanders since they have been our longest rivalry and most heated over the years but the Stealers are definitely in the top-3 for me after the Eagles.

The Packers, 49ERs, Browns, & Giants come after that.

At least that's my feelings on it. I'm sure others will feel differently and they should based on where they grew up and when.

We aren't in the Steelers league anymore. We see them once every 4 years with no chance of reigniting anything when it matters because we can't win a playoff game.

Steelers, Niners, Skins is in the past. The Giants are the present. Them, and maybe the Eagles, are our only true teams we need to get over to win the division and usually the best in the NFC East=the best in the NFC.

From this Eagles fan perspective, I could mention several teams that could be considered rivals. But first I'd have to examine the term "rival." For me, a "rival team" is the team that stands in the way of my team moving forward. However, it could also be that opponent team that keeps my team sharp and on the edge - it's the team that actually makes my team sharp by challenging both my team's strength and weaknesses.

Therefore, the "greatest" rival wouldn't be an opponent team, it would be within my own team ...the Eagles. The "ultimate rival" would be our own respective teams. For example, rivalry within the offense, and against the defense. Rivalry against making the playoffs or winning the NFL Championship/Superbowl. Rivalry is a mindset. If you can get into the heads of a team, then their own minds become their rivals.

But for the sake this very basic thread, I'd have to say the Giants, Cowboys and then the Commanders; simply because we plays those three teams twice during the regular season.

The Giants.

Right now, it has to be the Giants.

Our current teams have made no secret of their hatred of eachother. I even remember someone from our team answering when asked what they think of them, "I hate those guys." Might even have been Romo or Witten or someone like that.

The Commanders seem more like a friendly rivalry now. The current incarnation of our teams have that pure hate between the Giants and us, though. And I share their feelings.

The Skins are our biggest rival.
The Giants are our today's biggest rival.
The Niners are out biggest playoff rival. I actually personally hate them more than any team but only slightly over the Skins.

The funny thing about the Giants is that I never had any opinion of them until around a few years ago. I never hated them as much.
