Who feels confident about going back to New Orleans?

It's not going to be easy for anyone to go to NO and beat them the way they looked today in front of that frenzied crowd. If the Cowboys play the way they have been and dominate the Vikings tomorrow then we have a chance. The one thing going for the Cowboys is they've beat NO up there when the Saints had an undefeated season on the line. That win gave us alot of confidence. I feel our chances would be better this time around then when we beat them in Dec because we're playing great football now and are on a roll. Right now I'm not even concerned with that game because we have a big challenge tomorrow with Minnesota.

One game at a time. That's the only way to do it. If the Cowboys beat the Vikings tomorrow, and they can, the world will look much brighter and big, bad NO will be the team that has something to prove.

It is downright unbearable. Bobby Hebert is usually sauced up, and he actually started dropping "S" bombs after they lost to the Cowboys. I'm surprised he's still on the radio.

The Saints have some diehard fans, but also a lot of clueless, bandwagon jumping fans, claiming to be part of the "Who Dat Nation".

One fan called WWL today and said he's been a Who Dat fan for 50 years. Ummm...the franchise has only existed for 43 years.
:laugh2:

If we win, anyone in the southern half of the US east of the rockies can turn on 870 in their car at night and listen in to the fun. It's gonna be great.

Please let us win...

We Dey!

I'm confident enough in our team right now, that my flight is booked for New Orleans. As soon as the saints beat the cards, I checked on flights since I could still get a 7 day advance purchase price then.

Haven't read through this thread yet so forgive me if I am repeating previously posted ideas:

1. Brees had all day to pick apart the Cards' secondary - who was missing their Pro Bowl corner due to injury.

2. Dallas' pass rush >>>> Cards' pass rush

3. Dallas' secondary >>>> Cards' secondary

4. Buehler. He will be a huge factor with touchbacks (v. Bush - who had a monster game)

5. Dallas' run defense >>>> Cards' run defense. That lucky 80 yard run Bush had won't happen against us.

6. Romo. He simply is more athletic than Warner and his release is just as fast.

7. Running game. We have 2.5 healthy RBs (3 if Barber is at least 85%) and a massive offensive line. Crazy Colombo is back so I expect some long sustained drives against the Saints to keep Brees off the field.

8. Special teams. Crayton is a threat to take it to the house and should give us good field position all day.

9. McBriar. Really good punter and we could play field position if need be.

10. We've paid our dues. Romo has. Wade has. We've loss some games this year that have prepared us for this stage. We've had to win out pretty much to get in. We've also had to go into their building and win - we did so convincingly.

That being said - I don't want to get ahead of myself here. Let's take out the Vikings first. :D

The :star: will prevail damn it!!

I don't get all of you "nervous" people - have you watched our team play the last two months? They are playing lights out and they should beat anyone if they don't beat themselves.

I'll feel more confident after we win today. Let's take care of business at hand first.

The Saints are going against the Cards defense who allowed 45 points last week.

Now 80 points in the last six quarters.

:laugh2:

That defense sucks!

Dig it! I was honestly shocked that Brees and Co. could put up ONLY 45 points on the Cardinals excuse for a defense. Maybe they just quit...who knows, but you're right, the Cards have NO defense at all. Crowing about 45 against them is unsensational. Keeping them to 14 points is a better conquest IMO.

Another chance to take it to the paper tiger joke of a franchise? Yes Please!
