I will trust our FO that they just did not see any of the RBs (other than Gurley and Gordon) as an upgrade over McFadden, Ryan Williams, and Randle. But which of them can we rely upon to get tough yards, the 3rd and 1s that Murray almost converted 100% of? I just dont see short yardage and tough yards as any of their strengths. Which is just as important as breakaway ability.

We have FBs, like Jed Collins that can get short yardage. Don't just look at HB but also FB

Ryan Williams was a monster at the goal line for VT. But that has obviously been a loooong time ago. If he is healthy and ready to go I think he could surprise some. It's never been about talent for him, just staying on the field.

I'm rooting for Williams, i think he will eventually be our starter at some point this season

Williams is going to have a larger role this year - he wasn't making a ton of money on the PS squad last year while turning down 53 man roster options for nothing.

That's back to being a passing down.

The fretting over RB has reached epidemic proportions.

If this were 2008, I'd get it, but I'm shocked at how quickly the memories of this OL blowing holes wide open have faded…but then again, I'm not shocked at all.
