Who has lost more games since Romo took over?

I dare to say it's our defense by a landslide. This includes our lose to the Giants in the playoffs when we were 13-3.

In fact I recall several games that Romo brought us back in the 4th quarter only to watch in agony as our defense allows the other team to drive back to retake the lead.

This doesn't mean I forgive him for serving up pick 6's.

the bad part is that the pick 6's should never have happened:bang2: how did our offensive guys allow lions defensive players look like devin hester idk.

Phillips missed a big tackle on bobby carpenter near the sideline.:bang2: I bet marty b makes that tackle.

matter of fact our offense seem to have cooled down once marty b went out with injury. He was doing a good job the first half.

I bet if our guys would of tackled the interceptor instead of letting them score we still win the game with romo's 3 picks.

Granted the defense has not been good over the past 4 years. It's had some moments where it has been good like during the final month of the 09 season but other than that it's been pretty dismal especially last season where it was horrid.

The bottom line though is no one controls the fate of the Cowboys more than Romo. This season it's fair to say he's won 2 games and lost 2 games. Most of the "big" games the Cowboys have lost the previous 4 seasons especially during the final month of the 08 season Romo played a significant part in it with misfires and multiple turnovers. The stats don't lie in those games.

No question the defense has cost the Cowboys some games during the past 4 years but Romo has cost us some as well and some were pretty notable that's why his leadership keeps being brought up and he doesn't get the respect of some of the other QB's in the league.

Romo has to play well for the Cowboys to win it's the same for every team in the league because it's a passing league. Any team who's QB is turning the ball over left and right is going to lose most of the time. What scares me the most is when Romo is turning the ball over(melting down)in a tight game and he has the ball in his hands in the final few minutes.

Once he starts turning the ball over they come in bunches and it's only a matter of time before he floats one into coverage. We saw it on Sunday and we've seen the same thing in those situations ever since he took over in 06.

people forget it was the defense that let the Giants march down the field in the 4th quarter of the divisional playoff game in 2007. wade's defense was horrible in crunch time.

How many games has Pittsburgh or Baltimore defense lost compares to ours? How about NO or GB during their SB runs?

I agree that Romo lost some games for us. Sometimes your team need to step up and help stop the bleeding.

This is a pretty good thread here.

I believe the defense has been a HUGE part in some of the losses, like we all witnessed last season.

But, that was last season. And, it doesn't matter what happened in the past.

Right now. The defense is playing fairly well for what Ryan has to work with. No real good db's or safeties.

Romo isn't playing well at all right now. He has shown flashes, but, he hasn't jumped to the next level. Yes, Romo faithful, I know, He sat for 3 yrs and has "only" been playing in the NFL 6yrs. When do the baby shoes actually come off of Romo?

With Romo, he is what he is. An undrafted good QB from a small school that got a break because Dallas's FO has their heads so far up their collective rears that they though Aikman was gonna play forever and didn't have a back up plan.

Kind of like what Indy is going through right now.

Maybe not 4th quarter, need to get a stop, losses...but losing over the course of the game absolutely. 13-3 was the last time we had a good defense.

Another thread...another excuse for Romo. See how many we can come up with. Maybe the two orbital moons were alined and caused Romo to not see his BFF in coverage.

I blame a handful of the losses last year on the defense.

I think a lot of our losses can be contributed to poor OLine play - Minny in the playoffs comes to mind.

From then on, our defense gave up one TD.

Our offense managed one single FG the entire second half.

(Not that I blame Romo... It was the entire offense that couldn't do anything.)

same game that our D let Eli drove 70+ yds within a min to score before the half and our OL fell on it's face.

Interesting that your fun fact say "Romo" lost 7/10 starts. Seem like you think he starts at 22 position not including being the kicker as well. For some reason you forget our D simply gave up until Wade was fired.
