Surprised:

Armstrong. I think he was a decent DE, but I thought last year may have been his cap as a sack ever 100 snaps guy. Didn't see him as someone that could potentially hit double digits. He could end a double digit guy this year.

Noah Brown. I was never an anti Brown guy, but I saw him more as a ST player who can play a little on offense. He looks like a legit NFL WR. Even with Gallup coming back he will get alot of snaps, and should be useful as a big bodied WR.

Not surprised:

Wilson. I think people forget about him with allnthe injuries last year and the emergence of Kearse. He is basically doing what he did the last 9 games of 2020 when he became a starter. Thankfully he amd Kearse are different players and fit on the field together even with both being "Strong Safeties "

Rush, Tyler, Bohannah and Turpin. Big surprises.

Not surprised by the mighty Quinn, Tank, Armstrong, and Barr. Those four have put the defense on another level.

I'm surprised at Maher. He really turned things around since his last time here.

Surprised: Tyler Smith

Not surprised that he’s worked out, but surprised it is at the most important position on the Oline when he was trained to play a different position. that’s very impressive

Not Surprised: CeeDee Lamb

1100 yards in a 17 game season last year was nice, but it’s not the same as Gallup’s 1100 yards in a 16 game season. Case in point: remove the additional game that was added vs NE, and suddenly Lamb’s season was 16 traditional games for 950 yards. His start this year reflects that performance.

He absolutely could evolve into a dominant receiver one day; Dez wasn’t the destroyer right out of the gate either. But CeeDee’s start to 2022 implies it’s unlikely to be soon.

I have one major disappointment to this point and that is Gallimore. Watched him last night all too often getting handled by a single blocker and unable to get off blocks. A really disruptive DT would really make this defense go to another level.

Surprised:

My love/hate relationship with CeeDee. I want a divorce.
