Who here will be depressed if we

OMG.

One report today has Lawson at 233.

Another one at 251.

Of course a MannyLover chooses the one he WANTS to hear.

Fact is Lawson is probably still around 240. And Lawson himself said he's never weighed more then 245 so it's a reach to think he's gained 13 lbs in about a month.
What report had him at 233?

Don't know. Somebody posted it here earlier. Might of been a radio thing.

Either way, I'd be willing to bet he isn't 233 or 251. But then I don't Love or Hate the player so I'm able to look at it objectively.

As far as I've seen someone just randomly posted it without a link or anything and everybody just picked up on it. As far as I know there haven't been any reports about 233.

I'm at fault...I saw it and ran with it...My bad.

Pat Kirwan did say that he has reported into some teams at 233, but never said when, like how soon after the combine or yesterday... but he did say it.

But Goss is saying right now he is 251.

I don't know about "MannyLove" but I definitely have "OLBLove" and will be disappointed if we don't get at least one of the big 3 (Wimbley/Carpenter/Lawson) or no OLB at all.

Disappointed but not depressed. I have my favorites among the big 3 OLBs but I will be happy with either of the 3.

If we don't draft Manny, I am going to be so dissapointed.

He is the perfect SOLB/FS/NT we need. He does it all. He played on DL, so obviously he is good at run support and can probably play DT in a pinch. He has been called a tweener which automatically means he can play OLB. He has 4.4 speed so obviously he can cover and probably play FS.

And he is good at blocking kicks. Take that back.....he is an elite kick blocker.

He's the perfect player!

Draft him Jerruh!

I'm starting to think I'd be okay with adressing our biggest weakness, O LINE...trade down pick up a third.

Then take Nick Mangold in the first, Max Jean Giles in the second and Jon Scott in the third, follow that pick up with Andrew Whitworth..take a second day FS or two then sign Free Agent DT Grady Jackon after the draft.

Don't forget he's also a kickoff specialist, so Vanderjagt can take that job off. McBriar also better be watching his back.

I'm a Carpenter guy, but more than anything just let the draft go like last year and I'll be happier than Bill Parcells at the Krispy Kreme.

I wouldn't be the least bit dissapointed with a draft like this:

1)Bobby Carpenter
2)Davin Joseph
3)Darryn Colledge/Andrew Whitworth

And a second day safety.

I can't believe I am going to suggest this one....

But if Parcells/Ireland have Manny rated higher than Carpenter or Wimbley and want Manny....

Trade down and pickup an extra third...

1)Manny Lawson
2)Davin Joseph/Charles Spencer
3)Andrew Whitworth
3)Anthony Smith

I wouldn't be displeased with that at all.....ASSUMING Ireland and Parcells think highly of Manny.

I hate to break it to you (ok, no I don't), but a majority of analysts have Lawson rated higher than Carpenter.

A majority of analysts had Tim Couch rated pretty high too.

That's why they are analysts.

:)

Yep and that isnt even a slanted point of view...that is what is on all these Draft Reports people put so much stock into.

Taking it now.

I'll let you deduce from that what you want.... :)

??? For the most party they have Lawson as a DE. Obviously he's not going to play DE in the NFL. Surprisingly, Gil has Lawson ranked as the #2 DE. I think that's a little high. Mayock on the other hand has Carpenter as the #8 LB. I'd imagine he would have Lawson above that, so I guess he considers Carpenter as the #9 LB. That's a little low in my opinion.

The only one that has Lawson ranked as a LB is Kirwan who has him ranked as #3 behind Hawk and Sims.

They have numerical rankings for almost every prospect.

Carpenter is rated low because he's so small.

Where are you seeing these? I'm only seeing the links on the right (i.e., Gil Brandt, Pat Kirwan).
