Dak *has* improved his accuracy over the years. A lot. And on his own initiative in the offseason. Tony seemed the same way.Is it the OC/the head coach/QB coach? These year after year struggles obviously aren't being addressed. Sure he's the face of this team, but still he's not above being coached up. At year 8 this shouldn't be an issue. I think this summer instead of having players over to get timing down etc, he needs to lock in and focus on the SMALL things that he needs to work on, please give your thoughts.
Our players do improve over time.
What occurred to me today is "who is coaching the coaches"?
Where's the quality control on *them*? So often there's some glaring error that the world sees that just never gets corrected. Like Garrett's game management.
Why? It's not like the Cowboys don't generate the funds for Jerry to hire every retired coach for a 10 hour consult and not even notice the expense. It would even be a good *marketing* investment to get all the talking heads to get a well developed opinion of Cowboys coaching.
On the griping about Quinn, the biggest *fair* criticism is poor use of Parsons. Also, his *philosophy* of a defense of role players is a problem when you're playing a balanced offense and you aren't blowing them out. Then they just play the play opposite of the personnel you put on the field.
To be fair to Quinn, by the playoffs, there were a lot of personnel weaknesses on the defense.
Gilmore was reported as struggling with injury, and we'd already lost our CB1 for the year. Do you see a lot of talent behind Bland and Gilmore? In particular, a lot of speed? Reports were that we went zone to protect Gilmore enough to put him on the field.
LVE was our balanced run/pass LB, and some young guy who looked good in camp got IRed early on. Who were the LBers Quinn was supposed to run out for run defense against GB? I don't see them on the roster.
And our *planned* run defense DTs were simply *poor*.
The groceries he was cooking with had issues, and I wonder if even Micah at DE all game was a call above his pay grade.
Is it too much to think that Quinn and the org could *see* their failures with personnel strategy and adjust accordingly?
