that all you think anyone that matters is waiting is laughable to me.
Its been a week and a couple days only people that are freaking out are the armchair qb's and mediots.

Well, here's a sample of the threads on the first page:

"Parcells needs to make up his freaking mind!"

"BP Don't Know Offense"

"Brian Billick Anyone?"

"Sean Payton > Bill Parcells"

"If Parcells is so good?"

"JFE on the money (thread whining about the coaching)"

My problem is jerry. He comes in and kicks out a legend in tom landry, who is the cowboys. Yet bill parcells who's done crap for us, is being treated like royalty by jerry. Jerry needs to grow a pair and make the decision for parcells. Jerry is acting like were losing belichick. Enough of this tapdancing, either you want to be here or not. Jerry grow a pair, and get rid of him.

In all fairness, he kicked out a coach who hadn't won a playoff game in six years with the Cowboys, had just finished a stretch of 7-9, 7-8 and 3-13. Landry might have been a legend up to 1982, but after that, he was nothing to write home about.

I dont want him back. I've watched too many teams with less talent do more. *cough* Saints *cough* Not to mention he is a .500 coach w/o Bellichick, and is 3-5 in the playoffs since he left the Giants. His legend truly was built in NY, and how he keeps living off it is beyond me.

lol you do realize we threw to him more than any other receiver in the NFL. this past season is pretty much on par with owens' career averages.

however, they did a poor job of moving him around, and using him more laterally and providing him with opportunities to get YAC which is his strength.

I've disliked him over one issue from the very beginning really.. that is not getting a FA QB that gives you a better chance to win.. even if you're in rebuilding mode at the same time.

You never know anymore if a particular year might shake down a certain way to give even teams that were thought to have no shot, actually contend a lil bit.

Ourselves in '03 for that matter as it turned out. Had we signed Delhomme and Stephen Davis instead of the Panthers would logic dictate we would've stood to go farther than with QC and T-Ham? And we still likely would've/could've had Romo waiting in the wings and drafted RB's anyway cause everyone knew Davis was near the end.

Many teams in the last 10 years were able to contend with a solid journeyman QB within the 1st or 2nd year of going with him. Even if the window for success was only that one year. Collins, Dilfer, Gannon, Johnson, Chandler, Delhomme et al.

Now one could say.. but we did try that ourselves with DB (or to a lesser degree Vinnie T), and I suppose that might be correct although it was one of the worst possible choices to go with probably because one of the bigger weaknesses we had was the o-line. Not only in starters but in depth. Not very conducive to a statue QB.

And exactly what has Bellichick accomplished since his assistants left? If he loses next week to Indy - nothing.

I've been on record from the very beginning (first at the Austin360 site, then Cowboys Central (from which I was banned, for what I don't even know)) that I've never LIKED BP, but moreso I did not think he would take this team anywhere.

I used the image of a ping-pong ball bouncing down the stairs: Yes it bounces up high, but keeps getting more and more near to the bottom. In the case of BP: Won 2 SBs w/ the Giants; lost 1 Sb w/ the Pats; lost the Championship game w/ the Jets; lost the 1st PO games w/ us. If he coaches again after us, I predict he will not even make the POs.

So far, I've been right on the money. But then there's always next year...

But if he can win the SB, he (and Brady) will have accomplished in 6 years what it took Chuck Noll and Terry Bradshaw 8 years to do. I'm impressed...

BP has plugged alot of holes since he got here hopefully they will plug a few more in the offseason and be able to make a run.

Impressive, but the Steelers did win 4 in 6 years!

I think you are right. I forgot about the back-to-back twice. Bjut it is still impressive, and they are both young enough to win a few more in this watered-down league...

I don't reall dislike him, but his song and dance the last couple of years has gotten really annoying to me. It is not good for the organization to be that ambiguous about the last year of his contract. Sya you'll stay or that you'll go and get on with it. I'm real close to saying start shopping for a new coach for that reason alone. I think he is a good coach, but likes attention more than TO.
