It will always be the Commanders, no matter the team records. Skins fans are more preoccupied with the Cowboys than Zoners. I can live through any season as long as we defeat the Skins twice.

Historically, it has and always will be the Skins. Allen vs Landry, Thiesman vs White, etc. 49ers is obvious.

I'd say it's been the Giants since 07. They stopped us from going to the SB that season. Not to mention they've got two SB's since.

I realize they can't get out of their own bleepin way sometimes. That said, I am looking to discuss other teams.

Your thoughts?
First and foremost, you may already know this, but the Cowboys vs Commanders rivalry goes back to before the Cowboys were even a team. Names and dates escape me, but the gist of it was the Cowboys original owners bought the rights to the Commanders fight song and threatened to ban them from playing it at games if the Owner didn't back their play to have a team to begin with...and it worked...the owner allowed the Cowboys to come to be...but from that moment forth he declared war on the Cowboys franchise and made it known that any game against them was almost as important as championship games, he hated us so much.

As to who is enemy #1 right now? Giants...but that will change very soon. Eli is getting old, whereas Wentz will be coming into his own very soon. For the next 5 years or so, I'm projecting, the Cowboys vs Eagles game will be must watch TV. The Giants may or may not be great this year, but there is no denying Eli will start to show signs of falling off soon, if he hasn't already. Hopefully it is this year because at the end of the day, considering the recent history of them knocking us out of the Super Bowl contention...twice...I absolutely cannot stand the New York Giants.

As of right now, the Commanders are an annoying little brother who is coming close to competing with us, but not quite there yet. We will see who they are this year.

The Eagles I am having a hard time hating for two reasons: 1. They are just pathetic with that fanbase of theirs. In consideration of their trophy case, it's hard to feel anything but pity for them. 2. Wentz is difficult to dislike as a person. It's really too bad that he went to the Eagles because otherwise I might wish him well. If they beat us at any point this year, that will change very quickly.

I agree with every word you wrote, especially about Wentz. I like him as a person and as a player, but wish he didn't play for the Eagles.

Unless someone has already said it, lately The law has become our biggest rival.

If the question was biggest threat in the division, clearly Giants, but a rival is based on a long history of hatred so hot that a team with a 3-12 record still defeats the 12-3 team because hatred overcomes the talent and provides all the motivation needed. That's the Commanders. It has worked both ways over the years.

The Skins would rise up and defeat the 70's SB Cowboys, and in 1989, at 0-8 and on our way to 1-15 with the team that Aikman and Jimmy have said would have been beaten by many college teams, rose up to defeat the Skins 13-3. That's a rivalry; it's not about both teams being good at the same time.

Giants. They're the only team in our division who has won the SB in the 21st century, and they did it twice, and they beat us twice last season.

It's been the Giants for me ever since 2007 and probably still is but I have a suspicion within the next year or two it will become the Eagles for awhile and the Giants will be an after thought for a loooooong time.

My biggest rival is still the Eagles. I hate everything about them
I agree I hate the Eagles. The fans are trash, they talk like they are going to be so dominant and never have won anything except before Technicolor was invented or the moon landing,.I want to beat them every year because their fans have to be put on Suicide Watch if we do. That whole city has a meltdown if we beat them twice a year. Coaches get fired,QBs get replaced, the city goes up in flames....

Me too. I absolutely hate that team and their fans are about as worthless as pond scum. It's ridiculous how they get called passionate. Cheering when a Cowboys player gets hurt isn't passionate, It's sickening. I know the Cowboys don't enjoy going to Washington and New York but Philly has to be the worst place to play.
