I'm just feeling the need for a pulse check. Perhaps something to set me straight...

I legitimately woke up this morning feeling some type o way. Let me attempt to explain... It was a strange mix of confidence, swagger, and serenity. I had my usually large cup of java and went to work with the expressed plan to avoid the site and give myself a change to calm the heck down...

Well... It's not working!

I'm feeling strangely confident that we are going to open a large tasty can of whoop *** tomorrow night. That tasty can will be complete with all of he nutrients necessary to digest what we are about to shove down their throats.

And I tripping? Be real with me. Keep me on the level here. I'm a ticking time bomb!:eek:o_O

Bro if you're feeling it then go with it! I think we compete. Not sure if we pull off the dub, but I feel good about our chances and moving forward.

Now riddle me this, do I take a sick day tomorrow so I can stay home and watch the game in style? Every once in awhile we have a game that warrants me doing so. Does this game qualify?

I feels ya: I never felt nervous during a game. Never heard the crowd. Everything was about my Universe and my Universe was the Court. Not on a shot, not on a pass, not a free throw. I don't like green eggs and... **** sorry. I digress.

I never even heard my Mom cheer, even though she was right there in Row 1 every game...
I'd have been nervous wearing those Daisy Duke shorts on the basketball court!!

I agree with you. People aren't talking much about what Cooper just did. His ability to score 2 TDs, one 40 plus and one 90 yards will make the saints defense respect him. When they do that I think Zeke will feed on that number 1 so called defense

They respected Adam Thielen and Julio Jones and won ... on the road.

I no longer allow myself to get too emotionally invested in any of our games anymore. I'm just going to enjoy the entertainment and hope we come out on top.

I wish I could say the same. While I no longer get so furious I punch inanimate objects or rip my shirt in half I still manage to get pretty pissed off. My kids have forced me to behave. In fact my youngest daughter really jumps on my case when I start bad mouthing the team.

On the plus side I still savor the hell out of victory. I love to marinate in a good victory Monday. Its kinda ridiculous how much a win means to me. Lol

I really haven't been the same since the Green Bay playoff game in 2014. A culmination of so many emotional swings over the years; that game was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back.
It freed me, so to speak.
If we make it to the 2nd round of the playoffs or further, a football game may once again affect my emotional state (for better or worse).
For now, I just try to enjoy the ride...again...for better or worse.

Looking forward to tomorrow night

I know how you feel. It was the Giants playoff game in 2007 that did it for me. I've never felt the same towards the cowboys since. I watch but I get over it win or lose pretty quickly.

Yup, I used to be the same way. Rage and all. Now if I notice myself getting angry at the game I just turn it off and play a video game or get on the floor and play with my kids. After doing that a few times it feels a lot healthier to deal with it that way, and it gives me extra time doing other things I enjoy. I'll still check the score on my phone every 15-20 minutes though lol.

So I ain't turnin on the TV set tomorrow night. Just for you Blue. Of course I'll have to check out the score at 1 am cause I'll be too nervous to sleep

It is just a game and one that most feel they will lose. If I were as over the top about a win as you are, I might be nervous because I have not seen anything about this team that would lead me to believe they can best the best team in the game right now.

If I were to get nervous about a football game, it would be one of the four after this. The PHL and IND games would make me more nervous than this one but then again, I stopped getting nervous about Cowboys games years ago.
sort of how I feel

Would be amazing if we win. Season defining. I want that for us, Dak, even Garrett.

But my brain tells me that's a fairy tale. Lol.

We are supposed to lose. I get nervous beforw the game when we are favored. During the game on 3rd downs defensively and offensively. And after the game win, loss or draw when JJ is speaking to the media.
