I think (for whatever that's worth...) Carroll IS a better zone corner that Carr.

And he had better overall seasons in 2014 & 2015 than Carr.

"Swopping" him and his contract for Carr and his contract was a plus for the team IMO.

I'm guessing they will expect/hope for Thornton to step into a larger role while Paea backs him up. Doubt this position is addressed at all in the draft.

My hope is that Paea and Thornton will more than just hold down the 1-tech. Think we will see Paea florish here, and with Thornton now having a year under his belt in a 4/3 - he better get his **** together.
I have wanted a dominant 1 for years, if this iteration does not work we must commit draft resorces - next year.

If romo is a june 2nd cap cut the team saves his 14 million dollar base salary this year by releasing him. We could easily pay Hankins a one year deal with that.

Well I think it may be safe to say that it is the least VALUED position by the Cowboys with their current coaches, but I'm not sure that you can say with certainty it is the least important. We haven't done very well without a top notch player of that type so I think it is the subject of legitimate debate.

I was speaking more in terms of giving him a one year deal sort of like poe got. If we release Romo we are going to have money to spend and it would be foolish not to use it if we could get him on a one year deal that wouldnt hurt next years cap.
