Which begs the question - when do Romo/Henson surpass Bledsoe? From what I'm seeing maybe not anytime soon.

Young backup - under radar

That will contribute and be a starter next year.

My vote -

Stephen Peterman......

I would go that direction. I like the kid. I think he can play and will contribute come next season.

I'd have to go with Thomas "Pepper" Johnson. He's very quick for a guy his size and he seems to have a knack for making things happen.

If you can find a sleeper on DL that's a very good thing, because those guys aren't easy to find and the good ones usually go quickly in the draft.

Andrew Shanle, the guy who basically just had to show a pulse to become Nebraska's FS after Josh Bullocks declared and he couldn't even do that. He was beaten out by a walk-on who had never played a significant down in his life, Blake Tiedtke.

Shanle is one heck of a ST player, but not much else.

Of course Scott Shanle was one of the worst tacklers Nebraska had ever seen but now is busting out a bit.

No thanks when it comes to signing up the entire Shanle family.

I haven't given up on Willie Blade becoming a solid backup noseguard behind Fergie next year.
I always likes Willie, but I wonder if he's staying in any kind of condition at all... I'd be afraid that with an achilles tear, he'd be doing nothing but wheeling or crutching his way to the fridge all day long...

I always liked his ability to stir up crap in the trenches....

How big is Pepper Johnson nowadays? I heard he's been pretty good and that Parcells likes him. Could be the future, and he gets to learn behind two of the best vets in the league.

Seems like a real smart guy, but probably not athletically good enough to make it in the nfl.
