Garrett was coming back to Dallas no matter who the coach was...he would have been on Parcells staff from reports...I dont think it was a bad move....and Wade said weeks ago he had no issue with Garrett...but Im sure people will just claim he was lying or saying whatever....since doom and gloom is what some seem obsessed with today

I know this sounds crazy, but do you think there is a chance Vinny Testaverde might be considered for QB Coach. Romo has talked many times about how much Vinny effected his career in just one season. Garrett followed a similar path into coaching.

I know, it sounds crazy, but....

It might not be a bad idea to make him a player/coach while serving as the emergency QB. It could be viewed as a trial run for both Vinny and the org to see if there's any future in it.

As far as QB coaches go, I think Garrett would be spending a lot of time babysitting Romo, no?

Actually Jerry specifically said that Red had no title yet and he and Wade would figure it out. It gives us something to think about for the next week or so.

He has to have a promotion for us to have gotten him from the Dolphins. He can't just go back to a position coach. We already have a HC, so what else can he be besides OC?

Thats not true, the Dolphins gave us permission to hire him, it didnt have to be for a promotion.

even if Jason is eventually named OC, Sparano will still have alot of clout, I wouldn't be suprised if he designs the game-plans each week, and Jason calls the plays

Nunnelly probably makes the most sense as DC, now that Phillips is HC IMO.

However, I think former Giant 3-4 ILB Pepper Johnson would make a great DC. I'm really surprised no one has talked about Johnson much as a DC, especially considering he's been a defensive assistant for the 3-4 Pats since 2001.

Umm...that makes 5 SB rings for Johnson.

2 with the Giants as a player...3 with the Pats as a coach.

Yeah, I think Sparano will be heavily involved. I think Norv is right...Jason isn't ready yet.
