its a bummer cause TT was leading the NFC in kickoff returns.. its goes unnoticed cause he never breaks the big one, and a lot of people complain about us not getting any return TDs.. but I would take someone consistently putting our offense at the 30-35 yard line any day.. I'm not gonna dramatize it and make it seem like it is gonna kill our team, but losing him will in fact hurt us a little.. whoever replaces him isn't likely to lead the NFC in kickoff returns..
it's a bummer indeed cause it prolly spells the end of TT days as a Dallas Cowboy. just when he was having his best season and his best game. next year he'll be in his 3rd year with hardly any playing time. you can bet the team will be looking for a replacement because of the 3 year (unwritten) rule.

And the unwritten rule that Bill doesn't like guys who can't stay out of the trainers office. :laugh1:

As for 3rd RB duties, is Kincade still on the practice squad? Or has Skyler picked up enough of the RB position to contribute if injuries happened?

This is the bigger question IMO. If JJ makes it through this year without an injury it will be his first. Even without his history, the RB position sustains too many injuries to let me rest easy with just 2 on the roster.

hate to be philosophical about it, but no one.

there will be another person back there, but no one will replace him.

he was really in a groove there on his returns. he was consistently getting us starting positions beyond the 25-yd. line.

...just too bad...

i disagree actually.. i think that TT has already passed the 3 year rule.. he is a major contributer to our return team and a very solid #3 RB.. not everyone is gonna be a Pro Bowler by their third year.. TT will be back next season..

Skyler Green on returns, maybe Kincade gets picked back up for depth at rb.

Green should move to 3rd RB and KR now. Parcells has said positive things about his improvement and he's the 4th RB on he roster, now 3rd with TT correct?

BP's not wasting a roster spot on a 3rd RB only, when he won't "waste" a spot on Suisham who is good for 5-10 yards on every kickoff (unless the team plays it as bad as Hoover did last night).

What about Rector?? He seemed faster than Green, just from what I recall. He's still on our PS right? I also thought he had just enough wiggle to be pretty good. If Green's already on the roster, I could see Rector being signed.

I wouldn't mind seeing what he's got, but I doubt Parcells goes that route for two reasons:

1 - Rector is a little too tall and angular. Parcells prefers the shorter, more solidly built kick returners.

2 - Green has been working at RB. Since our third RB just went down...it just makes sense, and saves a roster spot on sunday.
