Still believe the team is very interested in signing a fa #2 WR. However, if they bring in another so called bridge type of wide receiver, who is the best fit for the Cowboys? I believe there is a need for a real good separator and a receiver who will go get the football, both which they currently lack. Keep in mind, the Cowboys have a very specific prototype at the position and haven't used a high draft pick (1-3) at the position in a very, very long time. MM will be tweaking the scheme, so I don't think it will force the front office to change how they view the position. Of coarse, the outliner is, they did sign Hilton, targeted both Cooks/OBJ who don't fit their typical WR they target. Here are a list of names:

-Q. Johnson TCU
-Addison USC
-Smith-Njigba Ohio State

-Hyatt Tenn
-Flowers BC
-Downs UNC
-Rice SMU
-Scott Cincy
-Mims Jr. Okla
-Tillman Tenn
-Hutchinson Iowa State
-Mingo Ole Miss
-Boutte LSU
-Wicks Virginia
-Washington Penn State
-Perry Wake Forest

Just like corner, think there are 3 who are very likely to go ahead of our pick.

Outside the top 3, Id go with Hyatt. He is probably a career #2, but he is a guy defense need to be accountable for. He makes Lambs life alot easier, and can break games of defense focus too much on Lamb.

Addison is borderline perfect. Arguably the best route runner / seperator in the draft and good speed to give you chunk plays.

Outside of him:

Flowers
Hyatt

For non top 50 guys I like Xavier Hutchinson, Tyler Scott, Michael Wilson and Trey Palmer.

I see another Will Fuller in Hyatt, worry about him being very one-dimensional.

-Addison is my favorite in the class, but he is most likely either the 1st or 2nd WR taken.
-Really like Smith-Njigba as he is an excellent route runner, but I worry about him being more slot only.
-Fine with Hyatt at 58, but not at 26, not drafting a #2 receiver in the 1st rd.
-Really do like Flowers, but need to see it, to believe it that this team will take a 5'9 receiver.
-Like Mingo as that go get the football type of big receiver.
-Rice is another one I like, but not hearing good things about from the scouting community.

JSN is good but unless he runs well, which he probably won’t, he’ll likely stick as a slot guy. 2nd round for me.

It takes a 1st to get a high end 2 for someone like Hyatt. Eagles used a top 10 pick on Smith.

I think we would agree that Hyatt isn't the same league as Smith. Hyatt doesn't run the full route tree and would need development. Smith is a borderline #1 receiver. In my opinion, Hyatt skillset is more like a top 50 prospect, then he is as a top 25 player. I understand, you would have to overdraft if you want him, just think there will be better prospects at 26 then him.

I have them ranked close as prospects. I’m order to be a #1 you need to be able to win at all 3 levels inside and out.

JSN is a sure handed, quality route runner that wins inside only and lacks long speed.

Hyatt lacks the polish JSN has but his ceiling is higher IMO.

Think the combine is huge for JSN, it will tells us if he is more of a slot only or if he can also play on the outside. Hyatt has elite speed which you cannot teach, but as you said, needs some development. I cannot envision Hyatt ever becoming a #1 receiver, that will take him out of 1st rd consideration. Look at the last 2 receivers drafted in the 1st rd-Lamb, Dez-both had that #1 potential ability when they were selected. Think Hyatt is a reach at 26, he is more of a trade up target to me at 58.

100% agree. If JSN runs a 4.5 or lower with good short area quickness I’d be much more excited. I like him, and I’d be on board with the pick at 26, I’d just really really hope the OC could figure out a way to still get Lamb in the slot around 40% where he destroys mismatches.

And maybe Hyatt can’t become a #1, but I think he could be a stud #2…which again you almost need to use a 1st round pick on.

I agree, if you want Hyatt, probably going to have to take him at 26, I personally just think it's more of a reach at that selection. Don't get me wrong, I like Hyatt as a player, but not in the 1st rd.

Cedric Tillman may be the best fit. He has the requisite size, and is an outside WR. It allows Lamb to be able to move around and play out of the slot. Tillman is the guy that I am the most interested in.

It certainly depend son what they do in fa, but I think the sweet spot is rd 3 adding another receiver, there should be good depth around this pick.

Michael Wilson is the WR I'm excited about, considering his tape is good (limited) he killed it at the senior bowl in practice and in game. Given size, footwork, ability to get open, and draft value (I'm thinking 4th round, considering his injury history) he is the WR I'd want if we don't get one in the first few rounds.

Mingo is an interesting candidate.

I like Hyatt's speed, but think he will be a one trick pony at the end of the day. I like Tyler Scott over him, as he has both speed and route running chops already and can be had later.

Im curious about prototypical size with this team in the off-season considering they tried to get Brandon Cooks and their second best WR last year was TY Hilton, another undersized WR. They may have changed their tune.

Nate Dell is massively undersized but is probably pound for pound one of the best WR coming out this year. If it's speed, route running, and ability to get open, you take a chance on the lil dude.

Of the top guys, Addison is my fav. JSN is a real option (for me). I don't see him becoming a bad player in the NFL. Prob the highest floor of the bunch, with a ceiling in the Amon Ra realm. If he can pull off a 4.5 I would not hesitate drafting him early if the value calls for it.

QJohnson has all the "tools" but had a real knack for letting the ball get into his body, despite the physical ability to go up and get it.

Then there is Downs, Flowers, Palmer, Reed, Mims, Hutchinson, Washington, Charlie Jones. Antoine Green late late is also interesting.

In summation, there is a lot of dudes I am interested in.

This is the key, need to see it to believe it.

I don't think this is a good year for the Cowboys to draft a WR in the 1st and maybe not in the 2nd.

Hyatt looks really good to me and is much more than just a speed guy, but he has a thin-ish build.

I expect Johnson and Addison to both be gone, but I love them.

Out of the "realistic" pick #26 targets, I love Zay Flowers and Hyatt. Different games, but both would be instant impact players here.

If I’m drafting a 1st rd receiver, I want #1 potential, don’t see that in him. Good prospect, but I think him at 26 is somewhat of a reach
