Yes and no IMO.......Fangio plays a huge role. They really got lucky ( well not luck ) Carter dropped to them. Their dominance starts with him. Jordan Davis is meh......they may not even offer him 5th-year option.
Milton Williams is a monster rusher…wait til you see what kind of contract he gets.

But yes, Fangio is a good coach.

PFF projects $18M range, slightly less than Osa's $23M

Honestly .......per PFF Poona Ford is a better value. He will cost $14M but for 2024 he had a run defense grade of 80.3, ranked 3rd among interior linemen and added 25 pressures along with a 70% pass rush grade. Their comment.......these grades for him on his third team in three seasons are highly impressive. He gives you way more run defense than Williams or Osa.....

Yea, I think they’ll both be around that 20 mil number.

Ford would be a nice pickup if we don’t pay up for Osa but there would be a pretty big drop off in pass rush.

It’s not a popular opinion but I would really consider taking Grant at 12. I think a Osa, Grant, and Mazi rotation would be as good as most teams in the league.

How about trading down to around 20, adding a 2nd and a 4th and taking Grant / Harmon / Nolan?
That is what I would do but some of the board trade experts :) don’t think we would get that much for the 12th pick so I am considering just taking the kid at 12. I am captain trade down all the way. Lots of second and third round talent in this draft.

we could certainly at least get our fourth back. And maybe another third

Oh if we go all the way to 20 we’d get a haul…the challenge is getting a partner.

12 is just too high for Grant for me but just my opinion.

Being here in Philly, they have been slow starters, but always play ahead with their strong ground game. The defense is kind of like the rams greatest show on turf, can just pin their ears back and rush the passer. Force them to play behind and they struggle

It’s funny, remember cowboys loved Milton that year, but had to settle for osa cause the eagles snag him ahead of us

I think outside of Graham, all the next tier DT’s will have 2nd rd grades. As I said before, 2nd rd grade doesn’t mean they are taken in rd 2. At 12, you want a 1st rd graded player

He’s a good player…but I think Osa is better. Both are stud rushers but Osa is a little better against the run.

I think they’ll get pretty similar contracts.

I get it. I just think a dominant interior would take Micah and the defense to another level. I mean can you imagine an interior like Baltimore. No team has run on them for the past several years. They always have big ugly no names that just suffocate the run like a python. We need that more than anything. I am with CowboyNY we need to stop the run first and foremost.

You know I’ve got Harmon as a 1st
rounder and I think Nolen is too.

I understand it’s not an elite class but this talk of there only being like 11/12 1st rounder grades is quite an exaggeration to me.

That’s fair…but you can get just a run plugger later.
