Gallup is the #2 and IMO he will be back very soon. Week 3 at the very latest.
Until then it will be Brown. But he will be rotated a lot with Tolbert and Houston.
Turpin will be in the slot, until Washington gets back. And hopefully Turpin forces more playing time soon.

I know Lamb is our #1 and that means traditionally he'll be outside most of the time. But he's so dynamic from the slot that's where I want to see him most. And I'd love to see him inside with Turpin also. How many teams can put DB's out there that can cover 2 dynamic slot receivers at once? Not many.
In fact, not that I think we have a tremendous receiving corps or anything but I think these guys bring a lot of different skill sets that compliment each other well and could cause defenses a lot of headaches. I'd like to see some different stuff this year. Kellan needs to get off the traditional train and mix things up a bit by using several different combos and lining guys up all over the place.

Starting line up: Lamb, Gallup, slot Washington
Dangerous line up: Gallup, Houston with Turpin, Lamb in the slots.
Big line up: Gallup, Semi, Brown, Lamb
Speed line up: Lamb, Turpin, Washington, Houston

He could do so many different things and set up so many miss matches by keeping teams guessing who's gonna be out there and where.

Brown can do nothing…he might be a good #5. We have no true 2…just like we have no true 1 or 3…again, we are a bottom 5 WR corp in the league…quit burying your heads…looks like our shiny new WR could be a bust…just great…pffft.
A point of view is nothing more than an opinion and opinions vary. Just because you are a negative nancy doesn't mean other people have to be negative nancies.

Brown has never started before, so this is his time to shine. The run game hasn't had Tyler Smith before, so who knows how much they've improved with his presence. So if you want to look at the unseen and say negative things about them, then let that be you....negative nancy.

Why do receivers need numbers?

At the risk of being called "obtuse" again, the fact is things like #1 and #2 receiver were terms that didn't even exist for decades. I know because I lived it.

A team has wide receivers. They're either good enough or not. Artificial numbering means nothing. Results will answer the questions.
Its....who do we force the ball to, and in which order?

That's the question!

You didn’t ask who our #2 WR is , just receiver who is no doubt going to be Shultz. Shultz might even turn out to be our #1 receiver.

It’s not going to really matter who lines up as 2nd receiver on other side from Lamb and slot receiver. It’s going to be a mad shuffle .

Some say it's Brown.

Some say it's Houston.

Some say it's Fehoko.

Some say it's Tolbert.

It can only be one.

The coaching staff hasn't named anyone the surefire number 2, but I think it's a pretty safe bet that Turpin will be our primary slot guy. Definitely a better prospect than little guys we've had in the past, like Cole Beasley. But I guess you could choose him as a candidate for your #2 WR even though most view the slot as your #3 guy. But that's obvious.

Who plays opposite of Lamb?

Lamb is such a beast, I think any of those can be the Dak-friendly type of player we need. But I think the scariest one to defend would be Fehoko.

As good of a camp as he's had, Houston may be on the chopping block because of the numbers crunch.

I have no idea who the guy will be. If it's Brown, Fehoko or Tolbert, but I suspect Fehoko or Tolbert, with Fehoko having a slight edge on starting.

What's your guess?
Turpin and pollard combo in rotation. slot guys a lot of misdirection and movement.

right a nice rotation brings in packages and let them all have roles..nobody likes the term WRBC but 2-4 will be and i imagine Shultz and Furgeson along with pollard and Turpin have bigger roles than those listed in the OPS options.

I hope for strong run game, many packages. No bland vanilla offense where its easy to read.

Noah Brown is getting starter treatment not having to play in preseason games. There's your number 2.

gallup is the #2 wr and 3rd pass catcher

lamb, Shultz, Gallup, Tolbert.

top 4 right there.

not sure why this is so tough for some.

I personally think you are more equal lateral than obtuse though anyone that calls you obtuse is probably acute or has something acute they are compensating for, just trying to triangulate what they are thinking.

….math jokes aside, this team is going to have to deploy as many weapons in as many configurations as possible early on.
Stop being a square. Try to be more well rounded. :lmao2::lmao::lmao2:

I agree

this isn't a rookie,

hes the oldest WR we have LOL and hes been playing year-round the last 3 seasons to whatever league would take him and hes played WR, not just a returner. slot guy for sure not a FT #2 but he and pollard will be weapons from the slot, unless moore efs it all up.

Brown will start opposite Lamb. He’s the only experienced guy and I can’t see the Cowboys forcing the rookie into 60 snaps week 1 when he hasn’t really showed anything in camp/preseason. 1 wrong route dropped ball etc could decide the Tampa game if it happens at the wrong time.
