Pro-tip: Don't cite half a fact,
T-RO , and then claim you've disproven the entire assertion.
Yes. Doing the math right up to that DET injury, he was 4.099... or 4.1. League average is typically right around 4.3 iirc.
Think deeper now, if you dare. MIght not want to, but sobriety demands it.
That is, when you also take into consideration that beginning last season Zeke received virtually all of the 3rd-and-short and 4th-and-short and most of the goal-to-go carries...
carries that inherently are going to end up with lower yardage results... his numbers were
naturally going to be more suppressed since he wasn't getting the full range of conditions like he did in 2021 and before when he didn't share the load so much.
"Scrub"...??? ... hehe... you really have to be a certified Zeke hater to come to
that word label... just my opinion.
The numbers and the evidence at their very worst would assert that Zeke was average prior to his DET injury. A kinder assessment says he was what I said... "pretty much Zeke like we've always known Zeke."
"Fiction"...???
The numbers are the numbers, my friend.
2001 Pre-injury = 5.3 average ... post-injury = 3.8 average (about a 40% decrease)
2002 Pre-injury = 4.1 average ... post-injury = 3.4 average (about a 20% decrease)
I tend to do the math and argue with myself before I make rash accusations... tends to allow me the pleasure of claiming the high and solid ground for my conclusions, and concurrently allows me the pleasure of avoiding having to endure people contorting things later on to fit with their preferred conclusions. But that's just me. I can't tell anyone else how they should or shouldn't operate, of course.
