Who is your late round pet cat?

QB Brandon Bridge - South Alabama
RB Malcolm Brown - Texas
WR Chris Conley - Georgia
LB Steve Edmond - Texas
DE Anthony Chickillo - the U
DT Charles Tuaau - TAMU - Commerce
CB Justin Cox - MSU

I'm intrigued by Brandon Bridge as well. Characterized as having a golden arm but with no accuracy. I don't think he can ever be a starter but maybe he could be coached up to the point where we can flip the pick for draft picks in the future.

I'd roll the dice on Chickillo as well.

Yeah. Paul Johnson runs a flex bone spread option, so they run the ball 95% of the time. When they throw, though, they throw it long. Damaryus Thomas played for Paul Johnson at GT too.

You can see his speed on the field. He's a bit of a long strider off the line, but he really gets on top of the DBs quickly and with his size it's a significant mismatch when the ball is in the air.

37-inch vertical too.

accuracy can be fixed, especially if the lack of it is due to poor throwing mechanics. Get him a QB coach that can fix the mechanics and with an arm like his, there is no telling how good he can be.

btw, at the combine, he looked pretty accurate, especially with the long ball.

Darren Waller (WR) - Georgia Tech
6-6 jumping bean with sub-4.5 speed who maybe can grow into a deep threat TE. He did a ton of blocking in Paul Johnson's Flex Bone option attack, and he's good at it.

This will never happen, but if you could use one draft to build your e

1 - Amari Cooper or Devin White
2 - Phillip Dorsett
3 - Tyler Lockett
5 - Chris Conley
7 - Jamarcus Nelson
7 - Darren Walker

Now there's a saturation draft.

You know him.

That combine snub.

That guy that is absolutely amazing that everyone is looking over. You see it coming from a mile away. You just know that this player is going to be a superstar.

Who is it? And why?

I'm gonna go with the re-drafting of Vince Young after his dominating Veterans Combined showing!

Cody Riggs, who played for Notre Dame this season after transferring from Florida. Could contribute as a nickel corner, and would be a core special teamer.

At DT, Bobby Richardson of Indiana. Was at the combine and I've seen other sites rating him much higher, but CBS has him as the 505th player. Measured in at 6-3/283 but has nearly 35" arms and 11" hands. I see a really good player on film. From NFL.com...

Richardson's tape is full of plays and near plays thanks to his outstanding pursuit and his ability to shed and find the ball quickly. While he lacks the desired height to play defensive end in an odd front, his length and outstanding work with his hands give him a shot at that spot. He has enough strength and room for more bulk to project inside in an upfield 4-3 defense. Richardson's athleticism and hand usage make him an ascending prospect with starter potential.

Also like Darius Kilgo of Maryland as a 1tech that has a little mobility.

At DE, Brian Mihalik of Boston College. He's 6-9/285 but also has some quickness and agility. Surprised he wasn't at the combine. Probably more attractive to teams as a 5tech but I think he could be in a rotation as a LDE.

At LB, Martrell Spaight of Arkansas. Had a combine kind of like Dawson - shockingly unathletic given how he looks on game film. Seems to see what's coming before it develops. Plays physical. Capable in coverage. Thought he was a 5th rounder pre-combine but a 4.9 40 probably pushes him down much more than Dawson. Also like Qushaun Lee of Arkansas St.

At CB, Bobby McCain of Memphis. Small but great awareness. Looks like a fit inside vs the slot and really active vs run. Nick Marshall is intriguing, converting from QB. He was initially a CB at Georgia, playing as a frosh before getting kicked from the team and ending up at Auburn. Kiper thinks he's a 3rd or 4th rounder at FS, so maybe he doesn't fit as a late rd guy. Also like Damian Swann of Georgia. Flashed early in his college career and thought he'd become a much better player. Think he'll find a role as a NB.

Hard to really see film of Safety prospects. I'll go with Robertson Daniel of BYU. Played CB but was a FS as a JUCO, has the size and range.

Zack Wagemann DE Montana - needs to get in an NFL weight room, but he has the ability to get to the passer.

As a Griz season ticket holder, this young man has really grown and developed! As you said, with more strength he will be an even better pass rusher and improve holding the point. Would love to see Wags wearing The Star!

Brandon Bridge QB S. Alabama
Nick Boyle TE Delaware
Bobby Richardson DL Indiana
Damarious Randall FS Arizona St.
Terrance Plummer LB UCF
J.J. Worton WR UCF
Matt Miller WR Boise St.
Keeston Terry DB Pittsburg St
C.J. Olaniyan DE Penn St.
Chuka Ndulue DT Oklahoma
Dechane Durante FS Northern Illinois

Edmond Robinson LB Newberry

Cody Riggs, who played for Notre Dame this season after transferring from Florida. Could contribute as a nickel corner, and would be a core special teamer.

He played S at UF and CB at ND, so he has some versatility. He's not very tall so nickle is likely his ceiling and a solid special teams guy.

Another guy that might be worth a late round flier from ND is Devaris Daniels. He had a so-so combine but was arguably the best WR ND had a few years ago. But he got into academic trouble and basically was forced to enter the draft since rumors are ND wasn't go to re-admit him like some of the others who got also got caught cheating. He's not a fast guy but he's a decent sized target with solid hands. If things had gone according to plan and he had played and not gotten suspended twice, he might be a mid round WR in this draft.

You'd have to work with him on polishing his game (better route running, etc) but he has talent.

His dad is former NFL player Phillip Daniels.

I'm rolling a bunch of Texas guys that I like late.

Shipley: from what I've seen he is better than his brother and can be had very late.

Malcolm Brown: a solid RB that can do everything, also will be available very late.

Quandre Riggs: a tad undersized but highly competitive. Expect him to run better at pro day.
The crown jewel.
Jordan Hicks: based on talent alone and production when healthy he warrants a third round grade. Key statement, when healthy. He can be had in the later rounds I believe.

Kwon Alexander, LB, LSU

Originally projected as 4th or 5th round pick, but had a good showing at the combine which will likely push him up a bit.

His 40 was 4.55 - second fastest among linebackers behind Vic Beasley. Also had a 36 inch vertical.

The reason he was originally projected for the late rounds was his size - 6'1'', 230. So yeah, he's kind of small for a LB but he made the switch from Mike to Will his senior year and showed a dramatic improvement (which is where he'll be in the NFL). Great tackler and plays with heart. Would love to see the Cowboys take him if he falls to the later rounds.

Keep em coming! I love seeing so many names thrown out there. People tend to do so much research on the top 3 rounds that I think a lot of good football players slip through the cracks as far as discussion goes.

Mark Glowinski g/t WVU
James Sample, SS Louisville
Josh Robinson, rb Miss St

Love Tre McBride as well, but that pet cat is out of the bag now!

Hayes Pullard, LB, USC- This skilled linebacker has 51 starts under his belt during his time at USC. You could plug him right in at the SAM and he'll give you solid play immediately.

Jerry Lovelocke, QB, Prarie View A&M- This guy has some serious physical skills and the ball just jumps out of his hand. He is a project but there is something about this kid that jumps out at me.

Jameill Showers, QB-UTEP. 6'2 230lbs, probably UDFA

Not a running QB, but can scramble (93carries 312yds, 4TDs).

Good leadership (23yrs old). good arm. Romo-like frame. He's calm and focused, not a big rah-rah guy, defintely a worker.

Stats don't overly impress b/c UTEP had no legit WR threats and was a run-oriented offense. (159/286, 1858yds, 12td, 6int; 119.8 RAT).
