My pick for the big bust in this years draft is Jarvis Moss.

Someone will take this bonehead in the first round, get in trouble, get suspended
come back, get in trouble again, get a full years suspension and then be gone.

Now from a physical standpoint, I think Russell will be a bust. I just don't know if he can make it. And I'm an LSU fan as well.

This one will get a good reaction. I dont think Adrian Peterson will ever spend enough time on the field to make a difference. He will own stock in trainers tables :)

Both QBs in the first round.

Jamarcus Russell doesn't seem to have the dedication or smarts to really learn the nuances of the game.

Brady Quinn strikes me as that great college player that won't make it in the pros. He doesn't really look the part either.

And Ted Ginn Jr. I think he'll never get the chance because he'll get injured. A Ki-Jana Carter type player.

Russell scored in the mid-20s on the Wonderlic.

Huh? That's probably the biggest thing he has going for him -- he looks the part.

The wonderlic is useless. Henson scored in the high 30s and Marino scored a 16. Has nothing to do with football smarts.

And my pick is Russell (he'll be the biggest bust since he'll be the #1 pick).

I don't take much into the wonderlic. It doesn't show much when you're trying read a defense or learn the playbook. I just don't feel he has the dedication to really study it all. He strikes me as the type that's really talented, but the one the coaches are going to have to cut the playbook in half for.

And Quinn, no I don't think he looks the type of an NFL quarterback. He looks like a lifetime college QB. But I don't know he looks... I just can't describe it. Like he doesn't have the physical "it". He looks like a swimmer playing football or something.

Carson Palmer looks the part, Troy Aikman did, a lot of the other QBs in the draft do, Matt Lienart, Vince Young look the part. There's just something weird about Quinn. Like he never quite matured...

I agree Quinn doesn't look the part of an NFL QB (how many QBs are actually in great physical shape?). But I think he'll be a solid NFL QB. Probably not a great one, but solid.

Are you serious?

You mean to tell me Quinn isn't in great physical shape?

The guy looked like a Calvin Klein model with his shirt off at the combine (no homo.)

this is the type of thread I wish I would remember three years from now. So we can see who thought who would be a bust.

lol

I'll say: Russell, Ginn, Bowe, Meachem, Revis. ( this is a fast recieving class and thats why there are so many first round wrs... which means typically there will be lots of dissapointed fans)

I think Russell will be a bust, since he will be a Raider. Also, I don't forget the way he totally lost it in the Florida game in 2005.

I agree, if he goes to Oakland, Russell will be a bust. I'm riding the fence on Quinn. Both Qb's are going to be put in poor positions to succeed.

JBell, I think Rack was trying to say that Quinn WAS in great physical shape. Anyone that has seen that stupid pic couldn't possibly argue otherwise.
