Evidently the D was pretty dominant tonight. I only saw the third quarter of the game. Can someone tell me who looked good tonight? How did Spears look? Ware? Ellis? Carpenter?

The entire D looked good actually. The secondary looked great, the passrush was good, and the linebackers were solid. Second team was okay, but still solid.

I'd say Ware #1 by far, then Canty, Spears, and Henry.

But really, the guys are playing good team D. No one player really has to stand out when you have good players who all do their assignments.

I agree on Ware...... he is just so hard for an offense to deal with.

I thought Canty looked very good. I'd say Canty and Ware looked like the stars tonight.....

For people who watched the whole game -

How were Ellis' coverage skills?

It was kind of hard to say because the Saints were 3 and out their first 3 or 4 posessions..
He did have a ball hit him right in his chest that would have went for a TD

Ok. I ask this because Greg Ellis' success at the OLB spot depends on his coverage skills. Now we have 2 OLB's that can rush the passer. Can Ellis defend against the pass though?

Team D was the theme of the night. NO really couldn't sustain a drive against our first team.

Me saying a ball hit him in the chest was not meant to sound like a negative thing for him..

carpenter looked slow

he is playing with an injury (knee I think)...last week he looked alot quicker and more fluid...especially on his pass coverage drops

The ball really hit him in his hands, not his chest, and he just missed it. 9/10 times that should be a catch.

Hoyte looked really good on Special teams. Hopefully that will help him make the team.
