Who misses this young version of a RB?

He should've had the same production and longevity as Derrick Henry and almost finished with a Hall of Fame career. It's unbelievable how he fell off the cliff.
He probably had a bad diet and put alcohol in his system. Henry has a strict diet and doesn't drink.

lots of different theories in this thread and pretty much all have some validity — definitely not just one reason for the decline. Honestly didn’t recognize him in OP’s clip, forgot he was ever that svelte.

They put a lot of miles on him in those first few years, shame they didn’t end up with any hardware to show for it.

Doubt it.

He had almost 1,500 touches in his first four years in the league. It was totally unsustainable.
Remember reading a while ago that pretty much any time an RB hits 370 touches in a season, they are due for major regression the next year.

Regardless of lifestyle factors, training, covid, etc, he was never going to be the same player after shouldering that kind of workload early on.
