I would not be suprised if Dallas does not sign another FA until after the draft.

We still need to sign our restricted guys and if one of them leaves, like Fowler, I could see us looking for a cheap replacement before the draft.

Why do all you people want to trade him. Is it just because his brother was traded?

It has nothing to do with his brother, people expect more out of their starting RB than Jones has shown. I think he will remain but this is his last year before his contract is up and if he can't show consistency in his game I doubt he will be here after next season. I think some want to trade him now while we still have a chance to get something in return.

We all knew he wasn't going to be Smith or a Dorrsett we got him in the 2nd round he is better than that one guy who had the starting job after Smith left.

Because he is better than Hambrick we should be happy? Jones needs to be more effective if he is going to remain the starting RB on this team beyond this upcoming season.

No I'm not saying that. It just he is not a pro bowler and we knew that. If we do trade him who to we get to replace , and don't say Barber cause for are short yards not 30 or 40.

A ham sandwich was better than Hambrick. But you are right.

There were 23 different backs that rushed for 1000 yards. Finding a guy that can do what JJ can do isn't that difficult.

Jones broke 5 runs of over 20 yards Barber had 4 with a lot fewer carries. To me it gets old saying what Barber can't do, all he has done is perform when given the chance and right now he is the most consistent RB we have on this team. I don't think it is an accident that the offense was more effective in the 2nd half of games when Barber got a chance to get into the games as the lead back. I'm in favor of letting both men compete for the starting job. In the end I think Jones really has to step up if he expects to be back next season.

I was impressed by the 1,000 yard mark when the NFL played 12 and then 14 games with 16 games 1,000 is nothing more than an average of a 62.5 yards a game
