Who runs this team? Who is calling the shots?

He was a bridge between the running backs and receiver group, and kept safeties and linebackers on a swivel.

He also ran the ball well.

He was and did. But could he carry the load? That seems to be a problem this season.

It did more so the Wrs though.

He didn't need to be another Jamal Charles to be a major contributor in the role of change of pace or third down back. He was a strong producer before his injury. And he demanded a lot of special attention by opponents both game time and in preparations as well.

He and Scandrick are mightily missed in the now...

Well, most of the problem is our coaches not knowing how to use a RBBC properly. It will never work in a dink and dunk offense. Other teams can use it because they use all of the field, not just a small fragment of it.

I do agree that we don't have an every down back but that is not the main issue right now.

I just don't see huge problems with Randle.

The run blocking has been subpar all season and got worse when Dez and Romo were out.

You should hope they stay with RBBC because that's C-Mike's best chance to eventually get some carries.

It isn't just about Michael. He is just the next best hope.

The problem from the start is Randle isn't a complete NFL RB. He has some wiggle and can bust a big play but he isn't a 3 down back. A RBBC doesn't mean just switching series between lesser backs automatically. It just means one guy won't get 390 carries like Murray did last year.

But the RB getting it done can stay on the field all half and get into a rhythm.
Everyone is moved up a peg too high on this team.

Our lead RB has never been on the roster this year.
Randle should be the #2 lead back, sometime 4 minute back
McFadden should be waived
CMichael should be part of the rotation and available for short yardage. He is the type you ride if he has it going.
A Dunbar/Sproles/Vereen/Spiller back should be added.

He turned out to be immensely valuable. As a matter of fact, of the three (Dunbar, McFadden, Randle), I would venture to say Dunbar was the frontrunner in terms of production which figures directly into value.

I contend that we truly don't know that answer yet because the coaches haven't given Michael a chance to prove the definitive answer yet.

Wow.. A RB that's noticeably jacked after converting a 3rd & 1 carry into a 6 yard gain after seeing the original lane stuffed and using his agility to shift into the open lane... Who would want to feed that guy the ball?

I'm just not seeing a lot of failure by Randle relative to what Murray would have done with the same blocking.

The run blocking has been subpar and I think people don't want to acknowledge that fact.

I believe Cassell not starting has more to do with him than it does them having faith in Weeden. They didn't trade a 5th rounder for Cassell to backup Weeden. That was invested for possibly a Romo backup as well next season. Cassell may have not been ready. Now of course if we trout out Weeden next week then i'll be wrong but i'm not even sure if this was the right game to even bring back Cassell. It may make more sense to do it after the bye week and possibly when you can get Dez back.
