I'll give it to them..

I'm one of Texas Stadium's biggest critics but these past two games, they've been loud enough. Still not Arrowhead or Linc, but loud enough

hopefully the *******s keep it up.

IT doesnt help at the fact it's 100+ degrees, in the stadium with no wind coming threw. then on top of that you ahve to sit there for three hours. Just sitting down without doing anything you come out of there with your shirt wet.

Carl Banks was right, when things are going good, Texas Stadium is loud, but even when the Chiefs were bad, their fans were always loud, and let's not talk about Oakland

Well how about we stop measuring ourselves by other teams' standards? We're not the Chiefs... we've been sucking major *** for the better part of a decade now... for a 6-10 team, our fans are crazy. I was at the game, and my ears were ringing after Ellis picked that fumble up and ran it back 30+ yards, not to mention the game-winner. It was nuts-o.

Maybe the natives finally have something to cheer about after all the so-so years.

parchy, the Raiders sucked last year and their fans were still loud as hell, losing is no excuse, I hate to say it, but Texas Stadium isn't a tough place to play at for opposing players

Hats off to the crowd...they were nuts.

They do get quiet when Dallas lose, but at least they still come during those losing seasons.

This ain't Houston.

Very rarely in the NFL are fans loud as hell when they lose. I've never been to Raiders games, but judging by the game we played there (I know, it's hard to tell by TV, but still, you can tell...) the fans weren't that loud. You point to the Raiders, but honestly, how many other stadiums are rocking when their team is 3-6 or something? Maybe 5-10% of NFL stadiums. Maybe.

Yeah I know what you're saying parchy. I mean hell, if my team was losing a game I wouldn't exactly be out of my seat and out of my mind cheering (or being happy about it)

but, at the same time, I'd still support them

I just don't like when the camera pans the crowd and 50% are sitting there staring on say... a 3rd down for the opposing team's defense

You must have been hallucinating or something, because I can't remember a time when 50% of the stadium was sitting down during a 3rd down play. That was the part of the crowd I was most proud of.

Generally, Texas Stadium fans are play-oriented cheerers. If something big happens, they'll be up there in loudness with any other fan-base in the country. But on situational plays where nothing's happened yet, they usually aren't very loud. That simply wasn't the case today. Everytime Eli lined up for a 3rd down (especially the crucial ones inside our 30), it was deafening.

parchy I was speaking in general, not of today (or last week) specifically

Lemme clarify myself. These past two games, Texas Stadium has rocked.

other than that, you'll be hard-pressed to cite examples

I can only go from my experience. The couple of times I have been there, the fans have been pretty passive.

It was easily the quietest stadium I had been to.
