I will be pulling for...the Cowboys. I'm not worried about who is coming off a win or a loss, Dallas has to take care of their own business. Home or Away. Rain or Shine. Dallas are the kings of their own destiny. I don't buy into this hype that this team or that team should win or lose so that Dallas will get some imaginary advantage. Dallas just needs to be ready to play and bring their "A" game every snap. That is how you win a game. Not relying on the "football gods" or the other team's mentality. Dallas should be focused on winning games. Period. If Dallas wins then it wont matter what anyone else does.

Also, cheering for injuries is just juvenile. Those guys have families and lives outside of football. Under that uniform they are people, just like you and I. Wishing that they would get hurt just to give your team an advantage is despicable. Whether it be career/life threatening or not, cheering to see another human being get injured is sociopathic behavior.

Yeah, I kept waiting for Hardy to knock Brady into the next county last Sunday. If he left the game, I was not going to have any sympathy either. Nor will I if Eli or Bradford leave in their game this week.

I never had a problem with Brady until watching how he acted after the game last week. Just completely dismissive of Romo. I'm not going to get over that, he is definitely high on the list of people who I want Hardy to blindside...again. I have to hate Eli because he plays for the Giants, but in reality, he seems like a pretty cool, humble guy. Brady is a total ******.

How is that fantasy world you live in where the outcomes of other games don't impact the Cowboys?

Philly doesn't scare me. The Giants still have Eli and he usually plays well against us. But, I don't want to get into a situation where the Giants feel they have a must-win game against us. OTOH, if they beat the Eagles...I'm sure the crowd will be pumped to see the Giants at 4-2 take on the hated Cowboys.

For now, I'll go with wishing the Eagles win.

I hope Marinelli was watching the SF game. If you play single high or cover 2 safety and stunt and slant to the inside to force Eli out of the pocket, he will make mistakes. The only problem the Niners had is they had nobody taking care of the running backs and TE's slipping out underneath. We want Eli on the move throwing the ball downfield...that's where he's vulnerable.

What fantasy world do you live in where if Dallas wins their games they still lose the division? If Dallas takes care of their business then no other game will matter. Dallas is already 2-0 in the division and 2-2 in the NFC. So remind me again why other games effect Dallas outside of them NOT handling their own business. If Dallas needs to rely on other teams handling their business for them, then this will not be a Super Bowl year. You can count on that.

If you were to model the probability the Cowboys win or lose the division...that number will go up or down depending on the outcome of Monday night's game.

Your illusory world in which the outcome doesn't impact us is quite strange.

I have not once said that games outside of Dallas' do not effect Dallas. What I said was Dallas shouldn't have to rely on that.

I am a Cowboys fan, I would rather Dallas handle their business and not have to rely on other teams to win the division for them.

I do not care if the Giants were 6-0 coming into the game next Sunday. Dallas' mentality should be to win the game.

Once in the playoffs, what team is going to help Dallas to the next round? NONE. So, why would you be looking for help now? Go out there, do your job, win your own games, and win the division.

Its that simple.

No one here has said Dallas needs to rely on other teams. The question posed was what outcome is better for Dallas. You rode in on your high horse and stated something everyone already knows. Dallas needs to take care of its business? Gee golly who would have thought! Also water is wet.

Now.... How about you answer the OP question? Or perhaps you can tell us that ice is cold.

Is just as simple to root for all other NFC east teams to lose and have injuries. Its really easy. Ive been doing it for years and it really doesnt consume any time or energy

Hard to say really, I still don't know what the Eagles are. They're a Jekyl and Hyde team and could be dangerous or they could implode, who knows with them. The Giants seem to be a more consistent team, but nothing about them screams dominance. I'll be happy with either team losing, no dog in this race.

My high horse? No. I did answer, my answer was, it doesnt matter. If Dallas continues on this losing streak it wont matter what the rest of the division does.

Therefore, the best result for Dallas is, to win their games.

I'm not too invested either way on this one. On one hand, if the Eagles lose it puts them further back in the division and one step closer to implosion, which is always fun to watch.

On the other hand, the Giants lose and it keeps them from getting too far ahead.

If I knew with 100% certainty that Dallas will beat NY the following week, then I'd definitely want Philly to lose this week.

Tie. Giants D is already hobbled by injury, OBJ and Randle are both gimpy. I hope Sheli comes out unscathed.
So the Kraken can break him in half.
