Who told me that the Eagles would be fine?

Name the backup he won those 13 games with

Well I mean if you are going to be technical here, Romo was the starter in 2016 who then got hurt right before the season started (as did Moore) and the Cowboys played backup Dak Prescott.

So literally the Cowboys went 13-3 in 2016 with what was technically the backup QB.

Now adding nuance and context here, Dak turned out to be much better than your typical backup QB. So it's not like Garrett willed the Cowboys to 13-3 with Jacoby Brissett or Cooper Rush out there.

I find it rather odd that I come to a Cowboy fan forum, the best by-far, and have to endure others who masquerade as Cowboys fans, yet cannot just sit back and root for our beloved team.
Instead, they have to predict doom & gloom, and spout off about how bad we are and lucky to just be in the mix, just so they can say "See, I told you"!
So I root for my team and, if they win, I get to serve a steaming pile of crow...

While we discuss the Eagles with and without the almighty Hurts, let’s not forget that their demise began by being defeated by the lowly Washington Commanders with backup QB, Taylor Heinike, 32-21.

Hurts passed for 175 yards and ran for 28. Heinike passed for 211, no TDs, but the Cmmanders rushed for 154 behind an OL that’s nothing special.

With or without Hurts, they’ve gone 5-3 in their last 8 games. Sure, they could win the SB, but they are not unbeatable.
The Eagles' receivers lost the game vs Washington resulting in three critical turnovers. Hurts was excellent - his only mistake was taking an unnecessary sack in the 4th quarter but if Brown didn't allow the ball to be taken from his grasp following an excellent deep throw or the rookie WR fumbling the ball around the 10 yard line the Eagles would be 14-0 under Hurts this season. The officials also missed a facemask on Goddart resulting in him turning over the ball.

I'm not an Eagles fan etc but Hurts is a genuine play maker and their x factor this season.

I do agree the Eagles are beatable as a team. They have holes in their defense that can be exposed and if Hurts doesn't return to the above form they have no chance.

A number of them are Eagles fans in disguise.

Dak Prescott. He was third string. Don’t use some technicality that he was the starter by default. He was a 4th round pick they had no intentions on playing. He was forced to play. And they won 13 games.
And when Romo was healthy did he start or did the backup(Dak)......

Anybody trying to say Garrett won 13 games with Dak as a backup is full of it.

Not only that I said without Romo and Dak, a little reading comprehension would help you

Dak was a starter week 1 and was the starter when Romo was healthy enough to play.

In fact, Romo did play a game that year but it was after Dak had the first drive.... You know the ones starters take

Haha! Sounds like real inside Intel!

Not only that, but it's a little known fact that AJ Brown told the equipment manager that he isn't getting his cleats right. Also, the long snapper is having some self doubt about about whether he'll have a job next year. Also, I think the linebacker coach is upset at the tight ends coach because when they went out to lunch last week the TE coach didn't pick up the tab, and it was his turn to do so.

How do I know these things? I just think they're true....so I'll just post them here as if they're facts.

I mean...I'm on the internet and everything.....that means I know stuff about these people I've never met or spoken to. But I know.
Defending the eagles again. Lol. Jesus

I mean that doesn't change the fact that Dak was the backup. He only started Game 1 because he had to. They had no other options. Romo was out, Moore was out with a busted leg.

And Romo wasn't ready until like Week 14-15 if I recall, at that point, they weren't gonna pull Dak anyway at that point given the season.

Again, this isn't to praise Garrett here. Dak turned out to be much better than your typical backup. But technically, yeah, we went 13-3 with our backup QB that year.

try again. What you’re seeing is a real head coach who has shown he can win with backups when his difference maker qb is hurt.
Actually you saw what a real defense can do when you have a subpar QB. Our D was playing lights out when Dak was out. Phillys D did not hold serve for them!

That is fair. We also went won 1 game the year before which garnered us a top 5 pick. With 3 different backups. LOL

I honestly thought they would keep on winning with their backup like they did a few years back when Wentz went down and Foles played in his relief.

But all take it! I'll laugh so hard if we get a win against the Commanders and Philly loses its final game, and thus we end up NFC East Champs. I would laugh so hard! Eagles fans have been so obnoxious on social media. That and then one and done in the playoffs is exactly what Eagles fans deserve.

I disagree. He ended up the starter in training camp and never was a backup in a regular season game. Plus when Romo did play he was the backup not Dak.

Hurts isn't healthy. A big man gave him a big shot to the shoulder.
Lol. He will be fine on Sunday. Don’t play the Giants in your bet this week…at least not to win outright. I actually would take the Giants +14 though. If the eagles are up more than that in the 2nd half they will likely put Minshew in.

I love it when you do this. What I'm seeing is that the Cowboys are actually better than the Eagles.
Lol you are seeing what you want to see. If both teams are relatively healthy in the playoffs, then I think you’ll see what you don’t want to see

1. Lane Johnson is toast.
2. It is unkown what happens with Hurts. He won't be the same and the team isn't the same without the right tackle.
3. Maddox isn't coming back in time.
4. Sweat probably doesn't make it back either.
5. The Eagles are under tremendous pressure and it is growing every day.
LJ will play. According to dr chao he will play with a brace and be at 90%.
Maddox is likely out for year.
Sweat will probably be back. That was the kind of injury that while scary to look at, probably doesn’t amount to much. The young manga very lucky.
If the Eagles win on Sunday, which is about 99% likely, a lot of the pressure is off…
