Sorry but I don't even want to think about the nightmare of the Cowboys losing Garrett right now.:(

not saying they will but these teams will try. we just have to convince Garrett to wait and become our head coach in 2-5 years.

i also dont want to think about it. I hope Jerry manages to hang onto him by paying him well and letting him know he is probably the future coach of the cowboys in a couple years.

Jerry is a good salesman. I hope he can convince Jason to stay.

I could see the Chiefs trying to get him. Herm is a wack coach.

No on the bolded ones... for the simple fact that these teams still have relatively new coaches. I find it hard to believe the Phins, Falcons and Raiders will fire their coaches after one season.

The Jets coach was dubbed a genius last season. I don't think they'll fire him after one bad year.

Linehan's job may be the most in jeopardy, but still this is only his second season. I don't see it.

I don't even want to think about the possibility. But yeah, it would be nice if he did hang on and take over as HC when Wade is done.

I remember a few people saying how stupid Jerry was for getting Jason.

our offense hasnt been anything that great the past 3 games...

there probably arnt going to be many openings anyway, and those teams that do may want someone with more experience

I don't think the Rams at all because if your on your 3rd string o-line so early in the year your going to lose a lot of games.but the falcons I see the HC trying to go back to louisville:laugh2: :laugh2:

Doubt many of those teams you listed are prepared to junk their coaches after only 1 season. Others like Browns & Bills probably satisfied with what's happening there now. Cameron in Miami in his first year but might be in trouble but he's stuck with a lousy team and total overhaul is necessary. Bengals HC certainly should be on the hot seat and they do have a good QB in Carson Palmer but got a lot of problems on defense as well as in the lockerroom.

Garrett is smart enough to realize he probably gets 2-3 years to turn a team around or he gets fired which might lessen his value down the road. He'll want to know how much authority he will have to make changes and also whether any of those teams have enough bona fide talent to get the job done--particularly at QB. Wonder if Miami owner wishes he had moved Garrett up to OC or even HC?

I don't think the Jaguars will be firing Del Rio, unless I've missed the latest "who's on the hotseat" report.

Great question.

I think the only team that would seriously consider firing their coach and pursue Garrett would be the Ravens. The other teams have new coaches or former successful coaches whose teams have been decimated by injuries.

If the Ravens did go after Garrett, I think Garrett would decline because that team will require a major rebuilding job with no QB. Jerry could easily persuade Garrett to stay by giving him a big raise and a promise of the head coaching job when Phillips retires.
