I'll be the one to say it...If McCaffery was black there wouldn't be so many questions about what his future is. He's 200 pounds, not 180. And he still has 2 years to get to 210 as he gets older. There's no reason to believe he's a change of pace/role player right now. Right now he's Jamaal Charles with a different skin color.

And to add something to the thread...Paul Perkins might be my 2nd RB in this class behind Zeke. He has electric speed and regularly makes defenders look silly with his agility. He's a true home run hitter

I wouldn't call him Jamaal Charles. I'd say he's more like Reggie Bush. And he is very fast - for a white boy. I don't say that to insult him, it's just that I haven't seen many white guys featured at tailback like he is being featured. And he looks VERY fast.

But I think there is something to what you're saying, as my perceptions indicate. Whether we like it or not, those perceptions exist - same with whites at cornerback.

But if a player can play, let him play.

As for who will be the best? I can't say. It all depends on the team that gets you. Emmitt Smith would have been a great back, but I doubt he sets the rushing record if he's on a team other than the Cowboys.

started breaking down RB. The best fit for Dallas is Alex Collins who runs behind similar line of Cowboys. Stout enough to pick up blitzes and has 4.52 speed.

I agree 100% with your point on the racial aspect. if he were black the buzz wouldn't be quite the same, not saying he's not talented but he's not even coming out this year and he's being compared to 1st rd talent like Elliott. Let's pump the brakes.
Hes like a shiny new toy everyone wants to play with lol.

I like mcaffery more then Henry. He's way more elusive and he has great vision. What adds value to mcaffery is that he can be used efficiently in different roles (rb/wr3/punt returns?) Something about how upright Henry runs seems incorrect to me. I feel he will get injured easy in the NFL although there is no way I can prove it.

Also what's it matter if mcaffery is white? Are we playing football or not?

Unfortunately there's perception issue. In the past it's QB now is less so but still. RB still very much so.

I don't dislike Henry. I just worry about unfair competition he faces day in and out. He's got a monster line at Bama. Also last few backs from Bama haven't exactly lite it up in NFL.
