The thing is Harris can't line up wide with much success. He is solid slot guy though. Problem is, Miles has the slot on total lock down right now. Williams is the perfect wide out guy across from Dez.. only question is if he is fully ready yet. If not, you will see Dez and Miles line up wide with Harris in the slot most of the time with Williams and Beasly coming in when necessary. Quite honestly we will probably have several different 3 WR sets that are interchangeable with the exception of Dez. He will always line up wide.

Harris is the third option at slot behind Miles and Beasley.

Like most have stated, its Miles and then after that its Dwayne Harris. All Harris does is make plays. He never does anything stupid with the football. Always putting up positive yardage. I feel comfortable with him in the slot if Miles goes down.

Where do you get this opinion from? What did Harris do to get demoted to behind Beasley?

its not a demotion at all,Harris will play a lot more snaps than Beasley. If we go three wide it will be Dez and Harris with Miles in the slot with the Rookie Twill getting more playing time towards the end of the season.

Dez and Williams line up wide with Miles in the slot. Harris and Beasley will come in as miles etc needs a breather. Just a guess...

Maybe esp later in the season. Harris will compete at the slot and some outside. Depends on how much they trust Williams right now.

Where did they say "Beasley"?

Before Beasley got hurt he was working with the first team in the slot as opposed to Harris who has worked solely with the 2nd team.

A lot of zoners are high on Harris, but throughout camp Beasley has been ahead of him, just like Williams has.

So you think Harris will be in FRONT of Beasley?

I believe Broaddus has said before that they think Beasley is the best slot guy after Miles, that Harris is better than him on the outside but that Beasley is improving out there as well.

Now on Williams, the guy is a deep threat. That is why it's a must to get him out there. He can take advantage of single coverage and get the deep balls and if defenses start giving him attention it opens up the game for everyone else. Harris can contribute but he doesn't scare anyone out there.

Anyone following camp coverage knows that Beasley is ahead of Harris. Suggesting otherwise is a clear tell that they haven't been following anything.

I don't think Harris is average at all. I think Harris is a good football player period. He is also tough as nails as well. I do like me some Twill and I know Dez really likes him after he first down catch they showed Dez on the sideline jumping up and down with excitement and I think that's how the team feels about him.

let me take that back. harris isnt average, he's solid, not good, not great but solid. you can't have pro bowlers at every position but as long as you have solid players filling in the backup spots you have good depth. i think that's what harris is destined to be, a very solid backup. there's nothing wrong with that.

I don't disagree I just think after this year he will be the slot guy when Miles is gone. You know who my favorite all time Cowboy is? Kmart he was just a steady player that made plays when call upon and that's how I view Harris. Much in the mold of Kmart. I wasn't sold on Harris as a rookie and got into a lot of debates with McCoy over it.

I am not convinced the talk of Miles being gone after this year is going to come to fruition.

He may have very well found a regimen to keep his hamstrings from acting up. They have not acted up at all and he has looked explosive. He is only 29 years old and still should be playing at his peak level right now. With Dez lighting things up on the other side he may be poised for a monster year working the other side. I think he is going to be the #2 option in the passing game and will probably amass somewhere around 1250 yards this year while Dez picks up around 1700.and Witten about 800. That trio of elite playmakers could propel us into SB contention if the defense puts up a typical Kiffen season.

As for Miles in 2015 who knows. Dez will be into his extension at that point and Romo will be in his third year. My guess is we try to keep him if he has played well in 2013 and 2014. By that stage TWill should really be coming into his own, though, and we will have to decide if he can step into Miles shoes. This will be one of the last great years of Romo at 36 years of age and we may just throw caution to the wind and mortgage things up a bit to keep the explosive offense intact.

I know what its about. I'm just trying to understand why you think Beasley is higher ranked as a slot guy than Harris is?

Before Beasley was injured, he took a lot of Miles' slot reps. How many times have you seen Harris lined up in the slot this preseason?
