Who will they focus on for Hard Knocks

Dude I find myself at least once a month saying how much of a bad *** you are.

I love you

I was going to buy HBO too. Not now.

I can see it now. They will focus on Tony Romo, Felix Jones, Danny Amendola and the Dixon kid.

It seems they always pick a top player, a draft pick and at least 1-2 guys that are just trying to make the team.

So those are my 4.

Who do YOU think they will focus on?

romo - i'd say jessica also but if bennett can't crack a joke about her, then i'm sure HBO won't be allowed to either.

choice/bennett combo for rookies. they just seem to be the most vocal so far.

random player, amendola.

If Adam Jones is reinstated for Training Camp you better believe he'll be one of the people getting a lot of focus.
I doubt it. I realize HBO would absolutely beg to have PacMan featured, but Jerry does have some sense. He realizes to get PacMan good with the commish, make the story as out of the headlines as possible. Dont reward a knucklehead

Thanks in advance, Star Gazer. I'm with WG, I love the exposure for our Cowboys.;)

If we would have drafted Owen Schmitt youd be doing the same thing!

You're welcome guys.

I spoke to Silver and Blue last night. He is going to capture it.

I'm sure it would be on-line with-in 24 to 48 hours. It rarely takes longer for the turn around.

I live in WV so I already seen it so there.:p:

On a serious note...Seahawks fans have already fell in love with him and he had a nice rookie camp.

Absolutely!!! That's the other benefit for being a football fan.

I believe if they had their choice, they would feature T.O. You really don't get better TV than him. I don't think he'll go for it though.

Geez there are a lot of story lines on this team. Don't forget about Pacman as well if he gets reinstated before camp, though I'd hate to have him be the standard bearer for the franchise on the show.

It depends.

If Adam Jones is reinstated, the top four will be (in this order):

Terrell Owens - With his track record?????? 'nuff said.

Adam Jones - HBO will try hard to exhibit professionalism while documenting his interaction with the team, but the amount of facetime will be excessively unnecessary.

Tony Romo - if Simpson is 'discovered' hanging around Romo, he will jump to #1 and push everyone else down. If Simpson is a no show, HBO will be disappointed and document him as being the 'leader of the Cowboys' while keeping the gossip commentary to a minimum.

Mike Jenkins - I envision HBO playing up the soap, "Life Beyond Newman". They'll portray him as the heir apparent, hype his trial-and-error adjustments as a rookie first-rounder and comment extensively how it will impact Newman's future with the team.

Now, if Adam Jones is not reinstated, the top four will be (in this order):

Terrell Owens
Tony Romo (unless Daisy Duke is floating around the facilities somewhere)
Mike Jenkins

and

Alan Ball - HBO will focus on the starters, the newcomers (Jenkins and Scandrick) and how it all impacts Ball's playing time in Big D. He'll probably be quizzed more often than necessary about Adam Jones 'eventual reinstatement by the Commissioner and what it will all mean to him personally and professionally.

For some perspective on what "Hard Knocks" likes to focus on, these were the story-lines for the Chiefs last year, in no particular order.

- Lots of Herm Edwards and Carl Peterson (GM).

- Gunther Cunningham, the ex Chiefs HC who returned to be the DC (sorta like Campo).

- Starting QB battle between Damon Huard and Brodie Croyle.

- Boomer Grigsby, converted LB turned FB trying to make the team (Oliver Hoyte style).

- Brotherly love/hate friendship of Tony Gonzalez and his long-time backup, Jason Dunn.

- Justin Phinisee (currently a Cowboy, #40), a CB/KR trying to make the team after the signing of Eddie Drummond.

- Larry Johnson's holdout and contract situation.

- Kyle Turley's NFL journey, and his maturation since tossing the Jets helmet.

- A lot of focus on the rookie ups and downs of Dwayne Bowe (1st rounder), Tank Tyler (3rd rounder), Turk McBride (2nd rounder), Justin Medlock (5th rounder), Tyron Brackenridge (FA), Dimitri Patterson (FA), Bobby Sippio (FA, ex Arena League star).

And lots of other good stuff that I'm surely forgetting. Even though it was the Chiefs, I was addicted to last year's season.

Lot of fun, behind-closed-doors stuff that we as fans never get to see. It's the ultimate reality show, tailor-made for us die-hard NFL fans.

I CAN'T WAIT for the '08 Cowboys to be featured. :)

Yeah... Like when Jerry was explaining to some people about the significance of his new exciting young quarterback having the same birthday as him... :banghead:

Jerry Jones, GM/astrologer.... :puke: :(

This is like Upton Sinclair and The Jungle. Sometimes you don't want to see the ugly details of what Jerry is thinking and doing behind the scenes.

As a fan im really excited about the show but the other side of me would like as few distractions as possible.

Dallas already has a big enough circus with some of the guys on this team and the whole Jessica Simpson stuff.

I really wish we wouldnt do it but ill enjoy every second of it while its on.

jenkins vs scandrick
