Who wins one first? Dak or Luka

Luka and the Mavs have better ownership and have a much better overall organization. The Cowboys have major “Jones culture” problems that have to be overcome before ever even taking the field. Plus in basketball, you can add a player or two and be an immediate contender. Football requires a much larger amount of roster architecture compared to most sports.

Having said that, the challenge for the Mavs is going to be keeping Luka. In ‘23 or ‘24 he’s going to be a FA and if the Mavs can’t build around him effectively, they may lose him.

If we are looking at sheer probabilities

1. Luka . (40-45%?) only 21 years old, so I like his odds at least some time in the next 12-13 years. Plus, he is a top 5-6 player in the league (not just his position) and makes up 20% of his starting lineup
2. Neither (35-40%?) It's really hard to win it all. Dirk has one ring. Rodgers and Brees have only one. Many have none.
3. Dak . (10-15%?) will be 28 to start next season. Makes up only 3-4% of his starting lineup...if you also include at least partially special teams.
4. Both. (2-5%?)

Dak will most likely never win a championship with the Cowboys.
Luka is almost certain too.
The Dallas Stars are the closest to a championship,
I would love the most for the Texas Rangers to win a World Series.
