Who would be a great GM

Have fans forgotten that our offense was ranked in the top 5 in each season that Kellen Moore was here. I'd rather give him a shot than the next dinosaur that Jerry will probably hire. Maybe he would be willing to give Al Harris a shot as his DC.

Troy Aikman.
Jimmy Johnson.
I don’t think Jimmy would make such a good GM. He needs somebody with college connections, you have to know the draft picks. I’m going with William McClay

Will Maclay, he’s a great scout. He understands talent. All they can do is give his recommendations, he can’t choose who Jerry decides to take.

He really didn't get a fair shake here. Was always undermined.....This offense by committee has always been a mistake. Too many chefs in the kitchen Chris.
He is not a HC. His own alma mater said no thanks.

He has some creative plays but he has no feel and doesn't attack defensive weaknesses. He calls the plays he wants to call regardless of the situation. I know he's your guy, but he's not that guy. Not at all.

Not that I think it’s going to happen, but if Jerry were to step down and hand the reins over to a real GM, who do you think would make a great GM?
Great question. This is our ONLY hope. If not, please lose, lose and lose some more.

If Troy wouldn’t want the headaches and work this would take Jimmy is laughable as candidate he’s as old as Jerry making good $ yakking on TV
He's getting paid a fortune to do one game a week. Why would anyone give that up to work 18 hours a day for a tyrant?

No.....Kellen turned them down

I always though Jason Garrett would be a good GM ........ just not a good coach.

Think he is a big part of the problem as well.....We are reaching on way too many draft picks to fill needs.... Hell we have a 2nd round TE that is seeing ZERO playing time right now because he's getting beat out by an undrafted kid. That's a problem. Letting guys walk in free agency....(Losing depth) because we can't evaluate the QB position....then over paying. That's a problem.

There’s so much to discuss and yet where are the ridiculous hypotheticals. Listen folks. Jerry’s your GM, and then Jerry will make sure that even when he’s gone Steven has to be the GM. Deal with it.
