#22: CB Aqib Talib

He's a playmaker who can be eased into the 3rd CB spot. He'll eventually take over for Henry which will probably be soon.

#28: WR Mario Manningham

He's the lightning to T.O.'s thunder. Drafting Manningham will allow T.O. to do what he does best, work the middle of the field, while letting Super Mario be our new deep threat. Crayton is one of the best #3 WR's in the league.

#61: RB Jamaal Charles

I just got done watching a highlight film of this guy and he is EXPLOSIVE. He has amazing break away speed, something Barber doesn't posses (see the NYG playoff game). Charles would end up complimenting Barber very well.

Thoughts?

I could live with that first day, for sure. LOVE the CB pick. He's probably my favorite in the draft.

I don't like the Talib pick. Gonna have to see what he does at the combine but Im pretty sure his speed isn't next level.

he seems ok but i'm sure their's better backs available. he doesn't seem very fast in college which means he will probably be even slower in the pros
I promise you Charles is faster than any other RB in this draft class.

He didn't seem fast in college? How do you figure?

As far as this draft, I'd be fine with it. My only problem is Talib's speed, but if his technique is sound and he's smart, he can overcome that.

I still hope Malcolm Kelly drops to #22 - espcially since his combine workouts will be limited at best. Sometimes that's enough to drop a player a little.

Malcolm Kelly
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
Ray Rice

NO thank you...

I'd rather have McKelvin or Mike Jenkins at 22 then a guy like Mendenhall at 28...

You're assuming they'll still be there.

I'd be in 7th heaven if Kelly fall to us and we grabbed Rodgers-Cromartie as well. OK with Ray Rice in the 2nd/3rd or any other good RB.

i like the 1st 2 picks but don't know much about charles

Texas running back Jamaal Charles had a rough go of it with the interviews. Some teams threw up film of him and asked about protections and he had a lot of trouble. This could be clear evidence that tells you if you draft him, don't expect him to do much until his second season, at least. There ya go!

Talib is too slow. Manningham disapears in too many games and drops too many. I do not want to use a 2nd on a RB to split with MB3. Use a third.

I don't know why you wouldn't want to use a 2nd on a RB. With Jones gone that #2 spot will be a pretty important hole to fill IMO. Barber will be getting more carries but he will only be good for 20 or so per game if we want him to last all season and I want to see us running more than that.
