Kennedy is actually younger than Siavii believe it or not. Both guys are 6-5 320, but Kennedy did have 3 sacks last year and has 8 total in his career.

Siavii has only 1 sack and that was back in 2004 with the Chiefs!

Obviously, Kennedy is able to get more penetration than Siavii. Plus, he could give our team some insight on the Viqueens, which we will play this year. So yeah, I think it's a good move for the team to sign Kennedy, to compete or replace Siavii on the cheap.

Siavii is horrible to me. I know some guys on here like him, but I don't see what you guys see.

I like your thinking OP. Kennedy is an under the radar type FA that has found his niche in the league. I think he'd be a great fit if the price is right.

I'd rather kick J Williams tires first. He knows this defense and is the perfect compliment to Ratliff.

Williams turns 34 in April and hasn't posted a 3 sack season since 2004. I'd rather get younger with Kennedy than older with Williams.

Either way, I still wanna draft Linval Joesph in the 4th round.

Jimmy hasn't put together a decent season in his 8 years in the league.

That's a fact.

He's a first round bust.

That's another fact.

He washed out with 4 teams now.

Yet another fact.

He's never had success in a 3-4 defense/played for Wade ect ect.

You get the picture.

LOL!

Wade doesn't want the big run-stuffing NT's like Williams anymore...he stated as much.

He wants guys that can penetrate and create havoc and push the pocket like Ratliff does.

Kennedy got three sacks last year in a reserve role...get the picture?

Those are the facts deal with it.

He's a Nose Tackle genius.

Their job is to stop the run, not rush the passer.

Those are the facts. Deal with it.

Run-stuffing NT's like Ted Washington and Jamal Williams are not like Siavii either.

You're right -- they aren't mediocre.

If Williams can get back to 80% of what he was, we'd be getting a steal.

He flourished in Wade's system before but because you said "Wade stated he doesn't want run stuffing DT's anymore" we're not bringing him in. lulz

I'd love to see that quote.

Ok genius. I guess it's crazy that wade would want a NT with experience in his scheme to play for him. Guess he'd rather have a bust like Kennedy who is averaging 1 sack a year for the past 8 years, and who again, just got let go by his 4TH TEAM. Who has been held sackless 4 of his 8 years in the league. Who just came off a career year with 3 sacks!!11 and who has never played in a 3-4 defense.

And I didn't realize Wade doesn't like big Nt's anymore. He wants small guys like Ratliff only right?

Thanks for the info, it all makes sense now.

If Wade wanted a big NT in Dallas....THEN WHERE IS HE?

What is he biding his time, patiently waiting for a mammoth player like Cody to draft?

Riiiight....of course!

The GREAT Jamal Williams had zero sacks in 5 of his 12 years and had 1 sack in 3 others. He has a grand total of 13 sacks in 12 years....AWESOME!!!

What did Williams do BEFORE Wade came to San Diego in 2004?

I'll tell you...almost nothing.

Williams had been with the Chargers for 6 years already and didn't make the Pro Bowl until Wade showed up. Wade made Williams into a better player because of his 1 gap scheme. Is it impossible to think, that he could do the same for a player like Kennedy, who's coming off a 3 sack season in a reserve role?

Williams played in only 1 game last year, but I suppose you think that was just a fluke. It has nothing to do with the fact, that the man is 34 years old and has been in the league for 12 years now.
