If you were Wade Phillips who would be your #1 RB? Choice, Barber, or Jones, who's in going to be?

Barber takes the first series, Jones sprinkled in. Choice second series, Jones sprinkled in. Keep alternating unless it is noticeable that one of them has a hotter hand. No reason on this earth why Choice should be sitting on the bench.

I agree. I'm fine with Barber starting, but Choice and Felix need more series and let Barber go back to the closer role. It's just a waste to have Choice stand on the sidelines.

I'd attack with Choice and Jones on 1st and 2nd down for all 4 quarters. Leave Barber in for 3rd and short plays only. Also, use him in the 4th to maintain a lead or "close" as it's called in these circles.

I'm not sure what more Choice needs to do to prove himself. He played very well in Barber's absence earlier this season. He's a solid feature back that we can get 15-20 carries from. That's all we really need. Save Jones for the screen plays and pitches.

Choice. he's the only back who's proven he can carry the load and have success with it.

Right now if I'm confident that Felix is healthy he would start. If he can't get in a rhythm and produce then I'd bench him for Choice and never look back. I would also move Barber to fullback and closer just for a double threat...

I don't think I'd have a #1 running back.I do think that i'd give the first couple of series to Barber.I would give the 2nd/3rd quarters to Felix/Choice.And I would let Barber come back in the game to close it out.

A simple question deserves a simple answer.

Choice.

I said it at the beginning of the season and i am still convinced that Tashard choice is the only startimg caliber RB we have.

Last year he showed that he can carry the running game not only throu one game but he had consistent big performances against the better run defenses in the NFL. But what i like most about Choice is that he is a Rb that seems to get better as the games goes on. He remindes me alot of Emmitt. People may think that the Defense wearing down is a reason that the running game get better but i think it has alot to do with the RB too. Look at Barber he starts strong but finishing most of the times very weak when he has to carry the running game the whole game. Choice seems to be different. With Choice i think we found a gem. This could be a really great back. I hope the Coaches of this team start to realize that.

He should start with Felix being the change of pace guy. Barber should come in as a finisher as he had his best season when we did it with Julius Jones and him.

I would go with Choice and Jones during the 1st half and 3rd quarter and when we are leading in the 4th quarter use Barber to run up the score

Choice also.

I think he should see 20 or more carries. I think Barber should play full back on two back sets, and be the primary back on third down to help pick up blitzes or slip a screen.

In the fourth quarter, if we have the lead, Barber should be the go to guy. At the goal line, Barber should be the guy. Short yardage, Barber.

Jones should see some spot duty and specialty plays. The thing about jones is, he might as well be Julius Jones right now because his career is a mirror image to Julius' at this point. Very impressive flash early in career, a rash of nagging injuries, inability to be effective in the passing game, and then 2 to 3 yards a carry from that point on.

Barber has done far more to prove that he can have success while carrying a full load than Choice has. Here's a list of all the games where Barber has received 18+ carries...

22 carries, 95 yards
27 carries, 127 yards, 2 TD
19 carries, 96 yards, 1 TD
18 carries, 103 yards, 1 TD
22 carries, 110 yards, 1 TD
18 carries, 63 yards, 1 TD
28 carries, 142 yards, 1 TD
23 carries, 84 yards
18 carries, 100 yards, 1 TD
25 carries, 71 yards
19 carries, 54 yards
24 carries, 114 yards, 1 TD
19 carries, 59 yards
18 carries, 124 yards, 1 TD
20 carries, 99 yards

Total

320 carries, 1441 yards, 4.5 YPC, 10 TD

The same info on Choice...

23 carries, 88 yards
18 carries, 82 yards, 1 TD

Total

41 carries, 170 yards, 4.1 YPC, 1 TD

Who has more to prove?
