Why? I had Turner and Phillips rated as about even in preference. I'm not saying we should have hired Turner, I was actually a Bob Stoops guy. Turner is inheriting a talented bunch. I'm hoping Dallas will be an opportunity for Phillips to shine. I see it as a better situation than he had at Buffalo or Denver. Toasted? I don't see why, but what happens happens.

The difference is whether you wanted to see the team improve defense or offense. Turner would have raised the quality of the O significanlty. Wade will raise it defensively.

I am an offensive guy (as ost of you can atest) so I was leaning towards wanting Turner. But, it was our D that let us down last year, so I think Jerruh made the safe call. We got the players to have a dominating D, and our offense is pretty dern good as is.

BTW, I am glad that you are seeing the sense in not posting just to exacerbate the already feculant attitudes of most of our posters! ;)

I just want to feel the team made the correct decision. We'll see in time.

If someone could PM me and tell me why that doesn't fly, I'd appreciate it.

No, I'm not just trying to stir up a hornet's nest. LOL. Just curious as to who would have preferred that direction, as opposed to Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett. Also, it's so funny how the Chargers get a pass on hiring Turner when we would have been roasted for doing the same thing. Any Cowboy coaching staff updates to report?

The Cowboys had the 5th best offense in the NFL, regarding points scored. It ain't broke. The defense, on the other hand, needed a quick fix. Wade Phillps is a defensive guru. and he'll fix this defense quickly. I look for the Cowboys to get off to a quick start. I'm looking forward to Williams returning to a factor instead of a goat, the two DEs who were drafted with high potential should be able to use their strengths instead of playing a bend but don't break game.

Rex Ryan as our d-cord,. what hes done in Baltimore makes me wish i could have a poor mans version of that D during the playoffs but now we got Wade and Wade plus Ryan = super bowl imo

whats the love for rex ryan? if most of u wanted to keep the 3-4? yes he has coached it but the ravens didnt have success in that scheme. not until they moved back to a 4-3 last yr that they started back to their sufficating style of D.

Rex Ryan does not deserve to be a head coach at this point.
