I think this game is being way overblown. I fully expect Dallas to win this Sunday and I have money on it to back my claim. It's a chemistry issue. Dallas just plays well against the Giants. We just have that mental edge when it comes to playing the Giants. On the flipside, the Eagles sorta have that mental edge when they play us.

The game I'm more concerned with is the Carolina game down the line. That game will speak more about the Cowboys than this Giants game. Can we beat an impressive opponent outside of our division.

Beating division foes doesn't really speak well about the calibre of a team in my opinion. Because with division foes, you have history, experience and chemistry involved with that equation. It's always easier to beat someone you have experience playing versus a team outside of your conference.

I'm excited about this game but I'm not going to say "Wow we beat the Giants"

Not me.

We beat them already. We owned them that entire game. I remeber Shockey was so frustrated.

Of course in the 4th quarter with a lead our Superman Defense (with Zimmer's blessing of course) changed uniforms and started playing the CUSHY zone, prevent, let Eli Scramble for 20 yards defense.

The only difference is Manning has more games under his belt and Henry is not playing...gawd I really wonder how long Henry will be out.

I just can't get worried about Carolina at all. Stop Steve Smith (and I agree that is hard) and you have stopped them.

Delhomme is playing very poorly and Davis is a shell of his former self. They have a good D but their offense is just not very good.

NYG are the much better team IMO.

We did dominate them and that could have been a repeat of the Philly blowout had we not gave the ball away to them in the first half.

They do worry me more because of Henry being out and Flozell being gone though.

Man, I dont know about that.

As a team they play very well and I am extremely worried about them. Man, do you guys know Atlanta and Carolina have not even played yet until this weekend?

That is just weird to me.

I would be impressed. This team is completely different at home over the course of the year. If we could beat them there, that would be a significant accomplishment. That would mean that we would be 5-0 and only have Washington left to beat in order to go undefeated in the NFC East. This would be huge in my book. No team in the history of the Dallas Cowboys has ever gone unbeaten in the division. In fact, I believe that only the Giants in 91 and the Eagles in 04 have accomplished this.

That would be a very big step twords our end goal IMO.

I'd like to put that Washington Monday night game out of my memory too.

Doh!!!!!!

Your right. Still hard for me to believe that one. Must be a Fraudian thing.

Thank you for correcting me on that one. You are absolutly correct.

Still, I would be impressed with a win against the Gmen in NY.

Wow, those are strong -- dare I say optimistic -- words, coming from you. I'm shocked.

Reading this has made me feel better about the game!

Lost to Washington the first game of the season in 93. I think we went 7-1 in the Division that year.

First off, we've already lost to the 'Skins so "unbeaten in the NFC East" isn't going to happen. Second, the only time we've EVER swept the NFC East was under Chan Gailey. And as for

considering what we did to the Eagles this year, I wouldn't count on THAT helping us with the Giants.

The Cowboys were the first team to go unbeaten and untied in the NFC East in 1998.

And Dallas lost to the Skins earlier this season.

I read this and scratch my head. I don’t get it. I don’t understand your purpose for posting this. We beat these guys once, of course it isn’t a complete shocker if we beat them again. Panthers a tougher game than this one is hard to say when it’s still a few weeks away.

You said you bet money on this game...hope it wasn’t your life savings, because this game is going to be hell to win.

Read previous reply to Pancake but you are absolutly right on the 98 season. I did not recall that. Seems to be a trend with that post for me.

Thanks for that info.

I know I'll be impressed. Winning on the road in the NFL is just plain hard to do, especially against a team averaging 30 points a game at home that will be sky high for the game. I remember some thinking the SF game would be a cakewalk- I didn't and it sure wasn't.

Actually, the Giants did it in 97 going 7-0-1. Technically, the didn't get beat. We were the first to sweap the NFC East going 8-0. A small point I know.

you gotta be kidding. when was the last time we won in new york? it's always hard to win there. even going back to the aikman days it was hard to win in new york. the only positive i can think of is that it will be an early game. those late games in bad weather are a nightmare

I said unbeaten and united in my post just because of that tie game. What a display of ineptitude in that game.
