I said unbeaten and united in my post just because of that tie game. What a display of ineptitude in that game.

So you did, however, I simply stated unbeaten in my original post. That is why I posted the 7-0-1 thing.

I completely agree with you. That Washington game was sickening. I will not get over that one anytime soon.

this will be a very tough game. some say we would have blown them out last time if not for our t.o.'s but they had just as many. carolina won't mean as much if we win this one. any division game is top of the list for importance

Don't worry Mr James Woods...even if we do win, you can be sure there will be several threads talking about how crappy we played in certain areas. How bad the coaching was....How Zimmer is a wuss...etc.

So you'll have plenty of company in the "unimpressed" camp.

I think this game is being way overblown. I fully expect Dallas to win this Sunday and I have money on it to back my claim. It's a chemistry issue. Dallas just plays well against the Giants. We just have that mental edge when it comes to playing the Giants. On the flipside, the Eagles sorta have that mental edge when they play us.

The game I'm more concerned with is the Carolina game down the line. That game will speak more about the Cowboys than this Giants game. Can we beat an impressive opponent outside of our division.

Beating division foes doesn't really speak well about the calibre of a team in my opinion. Because with division foes, you have history, experience and chemistry involved with that equation. It's always easier to beat someone you have experience playing versus a team outside of your conference.

I'm excited about this game but I'm not going to say "Wow we beat the Giants"

I don't care if you have money on the game or not. Totally irrelevant as far as I'm concerened. You got 2 first place teams going at it. One is at home after getting beat earlier in the year by the visiting team. You have MANY people/"experts" throwing the Giants in as a top team in the NFC. And why not?

On the road against an angry first place team, bad weather........etc.

If one isn't impressed by a potential victory in these circumstances, you're a hard one to please.

By almost all accounts, this is the biggest game of the year. To downplay that is foolish.

By the way, I have $ on the Cowboys too.

if we do lose here it makes the Carolina game bigger for possible tiebreakers come playoff time. if we lose we better start considering wild card scenarios...

I'm not worried about Carolina, the Bears beat them down, and they barely squeaked by Buffalo

I would be impressed. This team is completely different at home over the course of the year. If we could beat them there, that would be a significant accomplishment. That would mean that we would be 5-0 and only have Washington left to beat in order to go undefeated in the NFC East. This would be huge in my book. No team in the history of the Dallas Cowboys has ever gone unbeaten in the division. In fact, I believe that only the Giants in 91 and the Eagles in 04 have accomplished this.

That would be a very big step twords our end goal IMO.

You know I agree with you on 90% of what you write but I have to disagree. I think Dallas is the one team that isn't really dominant at home but unlike other teams, they don't really falter on the road either. They have played well in New York in the past and New York is a lot friendlier to play in than Washington and Philly.

Sorry but I have seen us become way too overconfident after beating another overrated NFC East opponent. The Giants are overrated. I'm not saying it's possible we might lose but we are the better and we should win whether they are angry and playing in cold weather. That's beside the point. The biggest game of the year was the Denver game, a game in which we got to play a legitimate team in the AFC.

The road is tough. We lost to Oakland, barely beat SF, got lucky in Philly. Other than the SD game, which we played with Flozell, what games on the road can you point to in which we've looked good? The Giants beat the Skins 36-0 at home. Yet you figure a victory for us there is ho-hum, it was always in the bag? Makes sense.

But the Giants beat us last year in the final game of the year.

If I had to put money on it....then I would place my chips on the Giants.

They have home field.....we are thin on the Offensive Line....and Anthony Henry is either out of the line-up or far from 100%

But....we can still win this game. But.....odds are against it IMO.

I would be VERY impressed for a few reasons
1) they are a good team
2) they are playing at home
3) we're now missing Flo and maybe Crayton on offense
and the biggest reason:
4) Henry is out. I don't have faith that our defense can be very aggressive with Henry out and our aggressiveness on d in the first game was the difference

So we barely beat SF and Philly but we somehow didn't barely lose to Oakland and Seattle, nice!

Bottomline is we are 3-2 on the road this year!

We have been winning without Flo, Crayton and Henry. If our kicker didn't miss a chip shot, we would have beaten the mighty Denver Broncos too without those 3.

We have beaten Detroit (Toilet team)
Iggles without TO but with Reggie Brown who drops exactly 50% of everything thrown to him
Zona, who doesn't beat Zona?

Giants have 3 bigtime receiving threats with one being monster-sized Plax and another being a not so dainty Toomer. Henry is big and does well against big WRs. Glenn doesn't. In fact, Glenn is probably a liability against Plax and Toomer. I would feel comfortable blitzing and leaving Henry out there 1 on 1 with either guy, but definitely not Glenn. I think Henry is the key to our defensive aggressiveness.
Flo and Crayton being out may not have been as big a deal as it will be against NY, IMO. Reasons being two monster pass-rushing DEs playing their best and our need for another guy that can go over the middle on short and intermediate routes. Price isn't that guy. Crayton can get open on quicker passes and if Bledsoe doesn't get rid of the ball quickly, it could be a long day. Those were my reasons that those injuries were ESPECIALLY key going against the Giants vs going against the other teams we've faced without them.

Arizona's record has nothing to do with the fact they have two of the best receivers in the league in Boldin and Fitzgerald. Even in their losses, they still put up 300 + yards in the air. We limited Fitzgerald to 4 catches on 36 yards. Boldin had 3 catches in the entire game. Fitzgerald is 6'3 and Boldin is 6'1. I would say they are big receivers.

You don't think Denver has good receivers? Rod Smith and Ashley Lelie are both tall receivers with big play potential. Smith is projected to go over a 1000 yards and Lelie is averaging 17 yards per catch. Smith had 5 catches for 57 yards and Lelie was shut out.

Glenn has handled everything thrown at him thus far.

I dont think its gonna come down to the wire on this one. NYG are coming off a heart-breakin' loss to SEA. and Dallas lost a tough ''in the bag'' game against Denver.

I think someone is gonna get blown out! ...seriously. I hope its the NYG..:D

The biggest game of the year was Denver????

A non-divisional game vs. a divisional game involving the 2 first place teams is a bigger game?

Uh...............

YIKES!
