Who would you hate at 12?

Rico Dowdle. Once they committed to it and got grandpa on one leg out of there. If Dowdle is rushing for 1k yards starting late what is Jeanty doing? 1,500-1,800?
Yep. Jeanty also doesn't have to have an all pro line in front of him. Only thing that worries me is the level of competition he played in college. If he's the generational talent we believe he is, just take him at 12. He masks so many things by himself potentially. Thing is, we better be damn right if we do this. Otherwise it sets us back years .

Any "one trick pony" player. Like a WR with blazing speed who can't run routes, or has drop problems, has injury issues, etc. Or a "tough" RB, who can make 3 yards when he should only get 2 but runs a 4.65.

Etc....

Well yea - I’m talking about his average ranking across the board. I can’t get behind a bottom of the first ranked RB at 12 for a position valued so low. Especially considering our OL is mediocre and we aren’t one player away.

And even looking at the reaches that did work out when you look at could’ve been from a team building perspective we could done better in most cases.

I wouldn’t hate Jeanty bc it’s a crap class at the top and he’s arguably one of the best 6ish players in the class.
I just have no idea where teams have Hampton ranked. He could be in a mix of players from about 12 down. There are a limited amount of first-round grades in this class, according to the so-called experts. I'd prefer that if one of those top-tier picks doesn't fall, we trade down a bit and select from Golden, Egkuba, Burden, Hampton, Harmon, Nolen and Grant. I wouldn't be bothered by any of those with a slight trade-down.

There are probably a couple of other names you could throw in there, but it is likely that they are grouped in the same tier of players.

I have changed my mind. For me it would be Sheduer Sanders or Jackson Dart. I have a feeling the Cowboys will draft a quarterback in one of the first 3 rounds.

More valuable positions. LOL.

Could any of these players provide the impact Zeke did in 2016? Only maybe Jeanty. It's not going to be any of these "more valuable" WRs, LBs or, dare I say, CBs.

How "valuable" was Barkley this year? How about Henry? Would you trade that for a cornerback? If you would you are a colossal moron.

if we won the title in 16 i'd probably agree. we didn't. and we're not drafting to replicate or exceed a single season. also giving specific names of players who have had success vs "a cornerback" isn't a fair comparison.

Lol….yep. Lions fans said the same thing and the team took my pet cat Gibbs at 9 and said screw the NFL. Their GM picks for playmakers regardless of round, value, etc.

This offense needs playmakers and from the look of FA that’s what they are going to try to get. What I’m worried about is Eberflus has been at a ton of these Pro Days………like his Predecessor Marinelli always was…..
they had the luxury of having multiple first and second round picks, AND not a lot of holes to fill.

For me it’s Omarion Hampton. I’m one of the most anti 1st RB posters on here but in a weak class I’d be fine with Jeanty. RB2/3? Hard pass.
I agree, Not a big fan of Hampton....Its Jeanty or everyone else besides hampton for me.

"weak [RB] class"??????

IMO... It's probably the deepest and most talented RB class in recent memory.

I'd disagree here also... Jeanty is graded higher on NFL.com (7.15) than Bijan (6.84), Gibbs (6.37), and really anyone else in recent drafts. He's the highest rated prospect there since Saquon Barkley (7.45) back in 2018.

I’m talking all positions - the top 10 this year is borderline laughable.

Yes, Jeanty is a great RB prospect and one of the better players in this class. That being said I’d draft both Bijan and Gibbs over him.

Oh, I get what you're saying. I thought you were talking specifically to the RB group in this draft.
